Dr. Patty Gonzalez
Welcome! I specialize in working with identity exploration, perfectionism, social anxiety, and Latina college students/early career professionals. I also enjoy working with concerns related to alcohol use, intergenerational trauma, adjustment issues, and acculturation. Many of my clients have included individuals belonging to the following communities: College/graduate students, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), Spanish/Spanglish-speakers, immigrants, children of immigrants, international students, first-generation students, LGBTQIA+ folx, and members of fandom communities (e.g. anime, K-pop, book series, etc.). As a proud "nerdy psychologist," I truly value getting to know my clients' salient identities, passions, hobbies, and background to be able to integrate them into our work.
If you are wanting to get support in navigating life in a way that feels authentic to you, then we are on the same page. I strive to co-create a therapeutic experience based on trust, genuineness, and empowerment. Together we will build your confidence and skills to get “unstuck” and move towards action, healing, and a life more in line with your values.
Taking the step to find a therapist can be a vulnerable and daunting process. Because of that, I am here to answer any questions you may have. If you feel we may be a good fit, please reach out for a free consultation. With humor, no judgment, and some possible cursing thrown into the mix, we will explore getting to what is meaningful to you.
