Dr. Dias is a Harvard-trained Clinical Psychologist specializing in child, adolescent, and young adult mental health. With a strengths-based approach, Dr. Dias utilizes evidence-based interventions tailored to patients' unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Her specialties include adjustment to illness, chronic illness management/medical coping, palliative care/end-of-life care, grief/bereavement, anxiety, mood/depression, and trauma. Dr. Dias also conducts psychological and neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan to help patients better understand their strengths and the nature of their challenges, providing recommendations for optimizing functioning and well-being.
Dr. Dias earned an M.Sc. in Medical Sciences from the University of Sao Paulo’s Medical School (Brazil) and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, with emphasis on health psychology, from William James College (Newton, MA). Her clinical training included inpatient, outpatient, and neuropsychological assessment at Boston Medical Center (BMC), Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), where she completed her internship/residency and postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology. Dr. Dias is bilingual and offers psychological services in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
