I describe myself as passionate, open, caring and engaged. I have worked for many years with teens, parents, families, and individuals experiencing anxiety and depressive disorders, including Major Depressive Disorder, OCD, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I am committed to helping each client meet their goals, including working with all other care providers involved. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and have an extensive background in mindfulness. I meet each client where they are at, and collaborate with the client to show up for life in a way that is consistent with their values. I am passionate about empowering individuals around their health and healing process. I help my clients using a holistic approach focusing on the importance and role of self-care. As a professional helper and healer, I have had the remarkable opportunity to be a witness to people’s stories and to guide their journeys. Over the last few years, my approach has evolved beyond exploring thoughts and feelings because those that seek mental health services want to feel better and not just manage their symptoms. I utilize mind-body skills, activities (mindfulness, meditation, yoga, etc.) and one’s own strengths to guide goals of mental wellness and personal growth. I am also a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. My clients often appreciate how we can create a safe space where they can comfortably share their experiences. Clients typically enjoy learning and developing practical tools in order to create an improved lifestyle. In building a deeper connection, we can explore the tools you currently use, and collectively figure out the ones that work for you, as well as those that may need to be updated. I work primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic lens as I believe that our thoughts are connected to our behavior, mood, and engagement in life (school, work, relationships), therefore building a healthier mindset is key to transformation. I also incorporate the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to build upon a "toolbox" of coping skills to learn how to manage mood, relationships, and stress successfully. Together, we will identify patterns throughout your life, create a plan of action, and come to a place where you feel stronger, confident, and capable of significant change. If you feel that you are ready to take charge of your life, and create a new path that invites in strength, tranquility, and pleasure...whatever it is you may be looking for, I'm here to support you through this journey. I believe that the core of successful psychotherapy lies in creating a safe place for you to talk about things that are truly important in your life. I am currently an online psychotherapist with over 21 years of clinical experience. I draw from various evidence-based approaches to provide personalized therapy that meets your unique needs. While we cannot always avoid the challenges that arise in our life, we do have a choice how to address them. I believe that there is much to learn from these struggles and that by facing them we create opportunity for making enduring changes in our life.
Anxiety’s greatest hits: overthinking, self-doubt, people-pleasing, indecision. Sound familiar? Life gets heavy when your mind won’t slow down, and everything feels like a lot. But really, why have a mind if you can’t change it? As someone who’s been there, I help clients move from stuck and overwhelmed to confident and grounded. Together, we’ll connect the dots between your past and present, understand what’s driving your patterns, and build real tools to calm your body, quiet your thoughts, and create meaningful change. Let’s make space for ease...and joy. Despite my title, I only work with adults individually (I don't see couples or families at this time).
I have experience in working with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and school stress. I spent more than two years working at Cornell's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), which provided me with deep knowledge of the ins and outs of their mental health system, along with the pressures that one can face at college in regard to competition, academic stress, and building social connection. Being from upstate NY, I also understand some of the isolative parts of the experience, and adjustment to the uniqueness of the region. I am grateful to have a chance to share this experience and apply it to the therapy space. I gather inspiration from a variety of backgrounds and techniques, and use an eclectic style in therapy. It is extremely important that there is a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings. I have found that individuals have a great deal of success when we work on the relationship between their thoughts and emotions. I encourage you to reach out if you want to talk more about the specifics of what therapy could look like, and to have a conversation about how to improve your life and reach your goals.
College can be an exciting time—and also one that brings real pressure, change, and uncertainty. My practice centers on person-focused care, primarily through medication management, while also creating space for guided, supportive conversations. I work with students to understand their goals, stressors, and strengths, helping them find balance and build confidence in managing their mental health. I value collaboration and autonomy, meaning you’ll always have a voice in your treatment decisions. My goal is to empower you with knowledge and tools to support both safety and growth, so you can focus on thriving in school and beyond.

I have been working with people that are negotiating changes in their lives for over 30 years. Lastly, I am a firm believer that a substantial part of change happens outside of the therapy session. There is no benefit in learning skills if they are not put to use. For this reason, there will be times when we will work together to create a home practice assignment that is relevant to our session and meaningful to you. I consider my style to be a delicate balance of easy-going and down-to-business. One of my goals is to create an atmosphere where you can show up as your authentic self. Only then, will we know what path to take in our therapeutic journey. Once we know what path to explore, we will put in the work! Sessions with me are interactive and collaborative. We will approach our session topics with curiosity and explore what you need from the session. Should we explore ways of thinking? Should we address behavioral patterns? Or should we identify and clarify emotions? I will use interventions and skills from evidence-based practices like CBT and DBT based on your specific needs. These treatment modalities are proven to work! I hope to help you create a life worth loving!
