Do you need help juggling a busy schedule or an active lifestyle? Are you overwhelmed with life's circumstances while trying to manage your personal, professional, and private life? Feel like you are losing control? Feel isolated and alone or so stressed and anxious that it affects your daily activities? Do you use the arts (dancing, acting, singing, music, painting, drawing, or writing) or other creative means to escape or heal? If any of these resonate with you, allow me to help you. Conquering these emotions is a task you no longer have to do alone. For over 30 years, I have been working with teens and adults on these specific issues and more. I've guided creatives and out-of-the-box thinkers like you through the intricate landscape of their emotions and challenges. Using a therapeutic approach explicitly customized for you, I assist you in unraveling communication barriers, navigating relationship complexities, and managing the overwhelming stress of your dynamic lifestyle. Together, we explore creative insights, identify and release roadblocks, and develop tailored coping mechanisms. Life's circumstances can be overwhelming, especially when you feel out of control, isolated, stressed, and stuck, affecting every aspect of your daily activities. I understand the challenges of anxiety and self-doubt and the search for calm amid chaos. If you're lost, let's explore emotions, uncover strengths, and forge a path toward clarity. My approach is holistic, eclectic, strength-focused, and tailored, with you at the center of your journey. I provide a safe space where you can freely and creatively address your life challenges and, in doing so, empower you to explore your feelings, identify your options, discuss steps, discover your inner strength, and guide you toward the clarity you seek.
I help clients deal with an array of life problems such as; depression, anxiety, IPV, trauma, assault, chemical dependency, co occurring conditions, maternal and postpartum, infertility, grief, etc. Previous clients have expressed therapy sessions with me have led to; better relationships, solutions to specific problems, and reduction of feelings of stress. My approach to therapy is meeting the client where they are and allowing clients to explore which therapy approach works best for them. Therapy can create some discomfort for both patients and people close to them. This is because therapy can involve change. I used a plethora of treatment modalities; CBT, DBT, gestalt, solution focused, EMDR, and many more. I feel clients are the experts of their lives and my job is not to judge or tell a client what to do. But to be a helpmate to assist a client to get where they're trying to go.
I work primarily with adolescent and adult men who feel stuck and want more from life. Whether you're facing social difficulties, academic pressures, anxiety, family transitions, or adjusting to life away from home, I can help. Being a young adult is hard. Therapy is a safe place to discuss the things that are difficult to talk about with your family or friends.

I work with adults, adolescents, and children. With empathy and compassion I pride myself on building a strong relationship with my clients that allows us to dive into the work together. My goals is to support and collaborate with you on your journey through therapy and self- discovery.
Initiating the process of therapy can understandably feel overwhelming, that’s why I strive to provide a supportive, non-judgmental, and confidential space for clients to explore difficult parts of their lives. I specialize in working with young adult issues, identity development, life transition, and first-generation students. Separating from your family, navigating new relationships, and discovering your path and interests are some of the unique challenges in this period of life. I have over four years of experience working in university counseling centers providing individual and group therapy to students, staff, and faculty. Through a safe and collaborative therapeutic alliance, we can work toward bringing relief to your immediate distress while also fostering a deeper understanding of yourself and others. I'm interested in helping you access your innate wisdom and healing potential. I’m curious and sensitive to cultural differences and the unique factors that have shaped your life. Together we can develop and uncover parts of yourself that can lead to living a richer, more creative life.
Do you feel like something is wrong with you? Are you wishing you could just "stop"? Do you always feel like adults don't understand? My goal is to create a safe, collaborative, interactive and fun space where you feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools to meet your goals. Together we will learn, build on your strengths, and celebrate your wins. I am here to support & guide you through this process, together.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, college students, and working professionals who struggle with anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma-related symptoms. For many of us, the hardest challenge to overcome is to ask for help. If you're reading this, you've already found the courage to start becoming the best version of yourself. While as an individual you are unique, none of us are perfect and we all experience conflict, hardships, and a variety of emotions. I believe our life experiences as well as cultural background influence the way in which we interact with the world. I am a strong proponent of collaboration and I view the therapeutic relationship as a team. I have daytime availability Monday through Thursday. If you feel overwhelmed with all of the changes in your life and in the world around you, or conversely feel numb and detached, let's talk. I practice with a variety of clients, however I specialize in teens and adults experiencing the effects of life changes and transitions, codependency, relationship issues, and managing work/life balance. I have a gentle approach to building relationships combined with down to earth 'real talk' about what can help you feel better. I often incorporate mindfulness techniques into our work together, and am someone who's open to feedback and learning about your unique perspective on the world.
I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating challenges such as relationship conflict, life transitions, cultural identity, and the effects of trauma. I have particular experience supporting immigrant and refugee communities, including those impacted by domestic violence. My approach is grounded in Narrative therapy and Solution-Focused therapy, and informed by a decolonial poststructural feminist lens. I see therapy as a challenging space where we can explore the stories that have shaped your life and create new possibilities for healing, growth, and connection. My background as an Iranian-American therapist influences my perspectives, providing me the ability to offer therapy services in both English and Farsi. My research and clinical work have focused on relationship dynamics, domestic violence, immigrant and refugee experiences, the intersection of identity and emotion, and families challenged with high levels of conflict. I also specialize in working with couples facing high conflict or violence, and I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment where change feels possible.
Whether you need support through a big life change, you’re ready to address recent and/or past trauma, or would like to understand yourself and your relationships better, I bring an engaged, empathic, non-judgmental attitude to our time together. My approach is collaborative, attachment focused, and trauma informed; I will seek and welcome your feedback throughout our time working together to make sure you agree with and understand how we're working on your concerns.
