I am a practicum intern therapist offering somatic, person-centered therapy for adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges and identity shifts. I am especially passionate about helping women traverse the emotional landscape of midlife, menopause, and perimenopause. My approach to therapy is grounded, intuitive, and deeply relational. I create a warm, attuned space where you feel supported in exploring who you are and where you want to go. I believe that change feeds the soul—and that healing begins when we meet ourselves with compassion, curiosity and courage. Before entering the field of psychotherapy, I was a professional musician and integrative somatic coach. My background in music and coaching informs my ability to listen deeply, connect through presence, and help you attune to the rhythms of your own inner experience. In addition to completing my Master's in Clinical Counseling at Adams State University, I am currently pursuing certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner through Somatic Experiencing International. I offer therapy in person in Boulder and online throughout Colorado under the supervision of licensed clinicians at Thrive Psychotherapy.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Niyama Integrative Therapy. I provide trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and complex relational patterns. Many of the clients I work with are capable and high-functioning on the outside, while internally carrying chronic stress, unresolved trauma, or emotional exhaustion. You may be navigating burnout, relationship strain, identity shifts, or long-standing family dynamics that still shape how you move through the world.
I am a queer cis-woman of color, and an immigrant from Denmark and Comoros. I am passionate about fiercely challenging systemic oppression and empowering people to reclaim their innate power. As a somatic and social justice psychotherapist, I guide and empower clients in the discovery and celebration of your authentic self. Through both my work and my own lived experience, I have developed a critical awareness of the relationship between trauma and oppression. In the therapy room, you are able to gain bodily awareness and skills on how you can move more fluidly in expressing and embodying you own unapologetic truth that is too often silenced by society I specialize working with marginalized populations, including people of color, QTPOC, bilingual individuals, immigrants, queer people, and trans and gender non-conforming individuals. As a multilingual psychotherapist, I provide counseling in English, Spanish, French and Danish. I provide both in-person and video sessions. I have worked in mental health since 2011 with a wide range of people. I mostly help people who are experiencing the effects of stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma, among other things. I focus on building a quality relationship with people I work with, where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I also incorporate approaches that draw on recent neuroscience research in order to provide tools and resources that can be used in the present moment, while we find ways of addressing underlying causes and creating long term change. Many people who find their way to me have already been in therapy and are looking for something a little different from traditional "talk therapy". I am committed to multiculturalism and am a LGBTQ+ ally. A few modalities I employ are EMDR, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Gottman Institute, Experiential/Somatic/Gestalt (including parts work). Please feel free to explore the website, or reach out if you have any questions. Thank you.

Hello. I am Dr. Rhoda Lipscomb and I am a certified sex therapist and coach who specializes in alternative means of sexual expression. I work with those who need help with issues of AB/DL, BDSM, kink, fetishes, open relationships (swinging, polyamory, designer) as well as issues of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transition, and stress reduction. I have 30 years experience in the field of mental health counseling and have been in private practice for 16 years. I provide all services virtually using video conferencing. While I provide psychotherapy to those within the state of CO, I also offer mental health and sexuality coaching for those in other states. Many college aged adults can benefit from working with someone who specializes in sexuality, however most sex therapists and coaches in private practice charge rates that are difficult for college students to afford. I have made my fees on Thriving Campus much lower than my usual rate so it can be more accessible for young adults in college who are struggling with sexual issues as well as anxiety, self-esteem and life transition.

As a social worker, I believe in the importance of human relationships and in the dignity and worth of the person. I therefore approach every client as an individual and focus on establishing a strong therapeutic alliance. I believe in each person’s ability to grow and change. I believe that we are inherently well intentioned and are simply learning who we are and how we want to show up in this world. I offer an interpersonal style of Cognitive Therapy, combining the belief that it’s the relationship that heals, with an active, educational, and skill based approach. I hope to inspire a fascination with our minds, ultimately supporting clients in developing a strong and healthy sense of self, where you are no longer servants to your “thinking mind” or “conditioned self”, but rather live from the truth of who you are. I believe that the work lies not in getting rid of the unpleasant or uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, and emotions, rather in changing our relationship with them when they arise, based on a more integrated and clear understanding of ourselves. While I was originally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, most of my clinical experience has been through interpersonal styles of therapy. I believe that the relationship established in a counseling setting is the main priority and factor in the work and growth that is achieved. I therefore aim to foster a relationship with my clients that cultivates authenticity. Through the relationship, grounded in empathy and compassion, I establish a safe and comfortable environment allowing for honest, genuine feedback, ultimately leading to learning and personal growth. I am supportive and directive, while working collaboratively with the client to target issues, minimize symptoms, increase overall wellness, and improve self understanding. Trained in a variety of approaches, I often incorporate many of them in to my treatment based on the individual. My training and experience includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Depression Care Management, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. These approaches are well suited for the treatment of depression, anxiety, addictions, trauma, stress, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and phase of life problems, aiming to teach people to allow for what is happening in the moment without the pressure of trying to change it or fix it, which more often creates increased suffering. They teach us that we do not have to act on every thought and feeling that arises, but we can learn to engage in behaviors that are in line with our values. My approach will often include experiential activities, behavioral experiments, skill building, psycho-education and between session practice. I believe that much of the work done in counseling actually happens between sessions and will therefore check in with you from week to week regarding use of skills, observations of self, and insights gained.

Hey! I’m Tim, and I specialize in helping high schoolers, college students, and young adults find meaning and feel more grounded. Life as a young person can be tough. You might be struggling with anxious thoughts and feelings, navigating your relationships and responsibilities, and building your identity. It’s understandable if you feel overwhelmed by these things, and therapy can help. I provide a friendly, nonjudgemental space to help you learn more about yourself, create change, and ultimately feel better. I have extensive experience working with students at CU Boulder or BVSD schools. I also have personal experience in therapy as a young adult, so I deeply understand how challenging this time in life can be, and how much therapy can help. I work hard to make sure that each of our sessions together will feel productive, cathartic, and even enjoyable. Therapy with me consists of lots of learning, healthy confrontation, and usually some laughter. Our work together can help you take tangible steps towards your goals. Book a free consultation today to get started! I look forward to connecting with you.
Finding calm and clarity when your mind won’t slow down is possible. I can guide the way. We have more influence over our thoughts than we realize. In our work, you’ll learn to approach your thinking more intentionally. As your thoughts change, you’ll start to notice changes in how you feel, the choices you make, and how you move through your life. I help clients slow things down, make sense of what’s been difficult, and address the patterns that keep them feeling stuck. This often includes working through anxiety, depression, and the impact of trauma and past experiences. I also support women navigating life transitions, helping them feel more grounded and steady through change. My approach is thoughtful and practical, combining insight with tools you can use in your day-to-day life.
