Creating a space where my clients feel safe, heard, and understood is at the heart of my work. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and young adults who may be experiencing anxiety, emotional difficulties, self esteem issues, family transitions, and more. I will work alongside you to hold space and access tools and strategies that can help you grow through life’s challenges!
As a trauma-informed therapist, my work centers on identity, healing, and relational transformation for adults working to reclaim clarity, autonomy, and emotional wellness. Whether you're navigating coercive relationships, trauma, identity loss, or a major life transition, this is a space where your experiences are genuinely understood and validated. Many of the people I work with are seeking emotional safety, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of self after experiencing emotionally harmful dynamics, including divorce, narcissistic abuse, domestic violence, cult experiences, or religious and spiritual trauma. These are experiences that can be difficult to put into words, and you deserve a therapist who not only understands them but can help you make sense of what you've been through. At the heart of my approach is a deep belief in our innate human need to be authentic and free. That belief shapes how I show up for you, as a supportive, grounding presence dedicated to helping you reclaim your life, your identity, and your autonomy. Collaboration, curiosity, and a deep respect for your autonomy shape the way I work with you. Every session is built on a foundation of trust and honesty, in a space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and genuinely supportive of wherever you are in your journey. Using relational and trauma-informed approaches, we'll work together to help you better understand and reconnect with yourself, process painful experiences, and build healthier patterns in your relationships and daily life. I tailor everything to your unique needs and goals, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all framework. What matters most is that you feel genuinely seen, especially in experiences that others may not fully understand. Coercive control, emotional abuse, and relational trauma are areas I'm particularly drawn to and well-versed in. For many people, simply feeling validated in these experiences is a meaningful first step. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by both personal and professional experiences that showed me, firsthand, how profoundly relationships and social influence shape our emotional well-being and sense of self. These experiences didn't just inform my clinical focus — they deepened my commitment to creating a therapeutic space where people feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. Warmth, insight, and an authentic relational presence are what I bring to every session. This work is not just a career; it's a calling rooted in a genuine desire to walk alongside you as you find your way back to yourself. Outside of sessions, you'll often find me reading, writing, or diving into investigative journalism. Hobbies that keep me both curious and grounded. Hiking offers a different kind of reset, one that connects me to the world in a way that carries over into how I show up for the people I work with.
I’m Christina (she/her) and I partner with clients in a collaborative, comfortable, evidenced-based approach to navigate life stressors, trauma, depression, anxiety and other mental health concerns. My therapeutic style includes a safe space for all to explore their understanding of themselves and the world without judgment. My goal is to welcome all, to feel safe and heard. I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT and DBT. If it is your first time in therapy or you have been doing therapy for years, let's open this chapter together.
I work with college-aged individuals and young adults, who are stepping into adulthood. You might be adjusting to college, starting your first career, or learning how to navigate changing relationships with family, friends, or romantic partners. I love supporting clients as you build independence, strengthen relationships, and grow into an authentic, fulfilling adult life that truly feels like your own. My approach combines evidenced-based trauma-informed models, including strength-based, skills training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. I have experience working with young adults from diverse backgrounds and am committed to creating an inclusive, non-judgmental space for clients of all genders, sexual orientation, cultural group, or belief system. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide whether my therapeutic approach aligns with your needs. I look forward to meeting you
My personal identities include: child of immigrants, millennial, cis woman, queer, & mostly able bodied. I find joy in working with: fat/larger bodied folks, the global majority/children of immigrants, & 2SLGBTQIA+. I found that navigating both my culture and what society expected of me was in a lot of ways harmful to my mental health and safety. I continue to go on my own journey of therapy, finding safe community and exploring my own biases. I often watch anime, play video games, board games, and love to bring those into session if appropriate. The topics, tools and space we create together are to support your exploration. Our clinical space will be filled with self compassion so that we can integrate your mind, body, and soul in healing relationships with your own body and others. Through my living/ed experience as a fat person of color, I welcome conversations about intersectionality and systemic oppression. I have spent the majority of my career supporting people of color navigate through different phases of life, especially in college years. We will explore safety in the body, grounding, expressing complex thoughts/feelings, family dynamics and patterns that may or may not serve you anymore. My hope is that you’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself, celebrate who you are, and recognize the tools you have to support your wellness. My clinical approach: fat liberation, anti-racist, intersectional lens, and sex positive.
Hello and welcome! I am a licensed marriage & family therapist. I worked with clients in the La Jolla/San Diego area for many years before moving across the country to Florida. I currently serve California, Colorado, and Florida-based clients via secure video counseling. I work with individuals, couples, and families to help each person resolve problems, to create more satisfying relationships, and to live more fulfilling and meaningful lives. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, couples conflict, substance abuse, eating disorders, chronic illness, and pre-marital issues, but I also have experience helping people through a wide range of other problems that may be bothering them (please see "Services Provided" for more detailed information). My approach is mostly collaborative - I believe that my clients should have options when choosing what type of therapy treatment they feel is best for them. I also, when appropriate, will work closely with a client's healthcare providers as part of the treatment. This way, my clients have additional support as we work through challenges. I absolutely love working as a therapist! Nothing gives me more satisfaction than saving a marriage, increasing the bonds of love between family members, or helping someone overcome an addictive pattern and find new meaning in their life. Please contact me to set up your first appointment.

I enjoy helping college students and young adults navigate stress, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm in a supportive and down to earth environment. Drawing from 10+ years of clinical experience, I use a solution-focused approach to teach skills to overcome worry, depression, anger, stress, guilt, low self-esteem, sleep issues, relationship struggles, and parenting challenges. I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ population, addressing men's health issues, and supporting people struggling with addiction and substance use. I am experienced in working with people facing anxiety, stress, depression, and interpersonal conflict. I use a variety of techniques to help my clients, based on what we agree might be best for them - the most important part of therapy with me is you being an active participant in your own goals, progress, and life.
Hi, I’m Sarah, the therapist at Flying Sparrow Therapy. I work with college students and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. I think therapy should be a place where you can show up as your authentic self and process whatever is on your mind. I am neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQ+ affirming.
You might be a good fit for working with me if you feel like you’re holding a lot inside. Maybe you look like you have it together on the outside, but internally you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or exhausted—especially when it comes to relationships with family, partners, or friends. You might be dealing with stress from school while also trying to navigate breakups, family tension, or long-standing patterns in relationships that you don’t fully understand yet. Maybe you’ve caught yourself thinking, “I should be able to handle this,” but something still feels stuck. If you tend to be someone who cares deeply about others, takes on responsibility, and pushes through—even when it’s hard—you’re not alone. Many students I work with feel this way. They’re not broken or failing; they’re just tired of carrying everything by themselves. If you’re looking for a space where you can slow down, talk honestly, and learn practical ways to cope while also making sense of what you’re going through, we’ll likely work well together. You don’t have to have all the answers—just a willingness to show up as you are.

Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming, but with the right one by your side, true healing can begin. As a clinical social worker specializing in individual psychotherapy and neurodiversity-affirming care, my goal is to make that process feel a little less daunting by offering a collaborative, supportive space where you can show up as you are. My work centers on older adolescents and adults navigating mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression, as well as those moving through life transitions, grief, loss, or anticipated loss. As a queer clinician, providing identity-affirming care is also central to my practice, particularly for those exploring sexuality and gender, or who face systemic barriers to self-expression and self-actualization. If you choose to work together and the connection feels right, I'm confident we can do meaningful work. My approach is strengths-based, relational, and grounded in a person-in-environment perspective, which means I consider you within the greater context of your life, your relationships, and the systems that shape your daily experience. All of my work is rooted in a social justice framework, and a deep belief in every person's inherent dignity and worth. Together, we'll explore the events and relationships — both past and present — that inform how you move through the world, building deeper self-understanding and self-compassion along the way. You can expect a warm, accepting, and responsive environment where the therapeutic approach is tailored to your unique needs and preferences. That often means blending meaningful self-reflection with a growing toolkit of practical skills and techniques you can carry with you outside of our sessions. Before becoming a therapist, nearly a decade was spent working as a professional musician, an experience that instilled a deep appreciation for the courage and vulnerability that authentic self-expression requires. Sitting with our emotions, sharing them, and exploring them can feel scary, but it can also be genuinely beautiful, opening doors to connection and self-discovery that might otherwise stay closed. At my core, connecting with people has always been what drives me. That's why authentic curiosity, empathy, and an open mind are things I bring to every interaction. My education, lived experiences, and professional background all converge in service of one goal: creating a space where you can work toward better understanding yourself and expressing who you truly are. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me singing, traveling, or cooking and baking for the people I love. Shared meals with friends and family are something I treasure deeply, as are deep belly laughs and adventures with my husband and our dog, Bagel.
If balancing academic/work pressure and your personal life is leaving you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or burned out, I am here to help. Many clients I work with enter therapy feeling stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or pushing themselves at the expense of their well-being. Perfectionism and self-criticism often make it even harder to slow down or feel satisfied. I specialize in therapy with college/graduate students and young professionals struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, early career stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I also work with survivors of sexual trauma and individuals who want to better understand how past experiences continue to shape their emotions, relationships, and sense of self. My approach is warm, collaborative, and values-focused. After working together, my clients often have greater self-confidence, increased insight into how past experiences shape current patterns, and a more compassionate relationship with themselves. I integrate psychodynamic therapy with evidence-based behavioral approaches such as CBT, ACT, and DBT, along with emotion-focused, self-compassion, and strengths-based perspectives. We'll explore practical tools to move forward from unhelpful patterns so that you can live more authentically. I am here to support you in understanding yourself with greater insight and compassion, easing anxiety’s influence on your wellbeing, and building a life that reflects your values rather than fear or pressure. I offer telehealth therapy for busy academic and professional lives. If this sounds like you, I invite you to explore my website and reach out for a consultation. I see clients in Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, and Colorado. I am also PSYPACT authorized to see clients in 40 additional states. *Note: I am in-network with several insurances in Massachusetts and Colorado, and I am out-of-network in New York, New Hampshire, and in PSYPACT states. I provide a superbill for my clients to request reimbursement from their insurance. Please reach out with any questions; I'm happy to work with you to keep therapy affordable.
Hi there—I’m Odira, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience guiding students and young adults through life’s twists and turns. I understand how hard it can be to fit therapy into a busy schedule, so I offer sessions only in the evenings and on weekends, whether we meet in person in Abilene, TX, or connect virtually across Texas and Colorado. Many students wrestle with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and relationship ups and downs. That’s why I blend person-centered, holistic, and eclectic approaches to create a space that’s uniquely yours. You know your story best—I’m here to listen, offer fresh perspectives, and partner with you to build practical tools for navigating transitions, strengthening connections, and fostering growth. Over the years, I’ve led behavioral health teams and delivered therapy in community and clinical settings—experience that’s deepened my understanding of the pressures you face on campus and beyond. My passion is creating a warm, collaborative environment where you can explore your strengths, cultivate resilience, and gain clarity. Ready to get started during those after-work or weekend hours? (Current availability for new clients: In-Person sessions in Aurora on Tuesdays at 10am or 11am; and Virtual sessions on Mondays at 11am, 1pm or 2pm, and Fridays at 1pm or 2pm). Wonton (Professionally trained Therapy Dog) & I are so excited you've found us! Are you curious about Animal-Assisted Therapy & connecting with an enthusiastic, loving, compassionate, 8-year-old, yellow lab? It can feel really isolating to struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and/or addiction. On top of that, it can be challenging to connect with people who understand that experience without judgement & can offer appropriate support. Therapy Dogs offer a very unique type of support for mental health: nervous system regulation, somatic processing, grounding skills, relationship skills, general improvements in mood, etc. Wonton & I have been a partnered therapy team since 2018 & we offer a warm, non-judgmental approach to facilitate the challenging work of therapy. We utilize a combination of therapeutic modalities such as Animal-Assisted Therapy, along with CBT, DBT, ACT, Trauma-Focused, & Solution-Focused specialties to support young adults/adults. After my family experienced something traumatic and we went through our own grief and healing journey (ongoing), this experience helped me to relate to a broader range of folks who were also hurting. I became a mental health professional because I love connecting with people and want to help them navigate unique and challenging circumstances. I am passionate about partnering with people who are choosing change and healing in order to discover more about themselves, grow, improve their quality of life and relationships with others. Prior to working in the mental health field, I worked as an Administrative Personnel at a University in Colorado for over 10 years and supported undergraduate and graduate students which allowed me opportunities to witness the unique challenges that students experience. If you are struggling with the stress of meeting new expectations, adjusting to college environments, managing your course load along with other adult responsibilities, trying to find your identity as a young adult, struggling in your relationships, having homesickness, and/or managing an illness(es), then you are not alone in this experience. If you are ready to choose change & healing in order to discover more about yourself, grow, & improve your quality of life & relationships with others, then Wonton & I would love an opportunity to connect & partner with you!
