Hi! I’m Kimberly Carlin, LPC, and I work with women over 18 who want support navigating the ups and downs of life. Between work, relationships, family responsibilities, and personal growth, it’s normal to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to cope. I help women work through: * Anxiety, stress, and burnout * Relationship challenges and setting boundaries * Trauma or emotional abuse * Grief or major life transitions * Body image and disordered eating * Pressure to be “perfect” or meet high expectations * Life transitions such as parenting, career changes, or caregiving responsibilities Here’s what therapy with me looks like: CBT: Helps you spot unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier ones. ACT: Teaches you to accept feelings and focus on what matters most. Somatic Therapy: Uses your body to release stored stress, tension, and anxiety. IFS (Internal Family Systems): Helps you explore different parts of yourself and understand conflicting thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. Inner Child Work: Helps you understand how past experiences shape your feelings today. EMDR: A specialized approach that helps painful memories feel less overwhelming. Christian Counseling and Prayer (optional): For women who desire, therapy can integrate Biblical principles, prayer, and exploring God’s perspective of who you are to guide healing, self-worth, and decision-making. I provide online therapy and am licensed in multiple states, so you can continue care even if you travel, work remotely or move. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel understood, gain clarity, and build tools to navigate life with more confidence, self-compassion, and faith-based guidance if desired. Whether you’re feeling stressed, struggling with relationships, wanting to process trauma, or navigating major life transitions, I’m here to support you. I utilize evidenced based interventions from both acceptance and commitment therapy and trauma-informed care principles in my practice. I graduated in 2017 from the University of Denver with my Masters in Social Work and have been providing both inpatient and outpatient treatment since that time. My education and both, personal and professional experiences have allowed me to develop skills to work with diverse, often marginalized populations, such as members of the LGBTQIA+ population or those where English is not their first language. My specialities for work center around severe mental illnesses, such as: schizophrenia and other thought disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. Typically clients I work with have the above noted challenges, but have also experienced other stressors in their relationships, employment, and/or with addiction(s) of some kind.

Hey there! I am so glad you're here. When I was growing up, I quickly learned that there were few places I could be truly myself and accepted just as I am. As a therapist, I've discovered many of us share that same story. We learn to conform and perform in response to the pressure of our world telling us who to be, and we are left confused, ashamed, and exhausted when it becomes too much to maintain as adults. In my work with clients, I offer space for you to be exactly who you are, wherever you're at, so that together, we can discover a life that feels good and enjoyable to live, based on your most authentic values and desires. In my practice, I work with members of the LGBTQ+ community, those struggling with body image and disordered eating, survivors of bullying, and folks wrestling with religious trauma. Together, we will explore your unique goals, the pain and behaviors that may be holding you back, and how to create satisfying relationships, both with others and yourself. It is a brave first step to reach out for support when you need it, especially when life feels difficult, and I would be honored to hear your story and explore working with you toward a greater sense of worth and hope. You can contact me through my website or via phone call/ text, and I will respond in 1-2 business days. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello, I'm Mercy, a mother and a wife. Life is a continuous journey that has no end until we take our last breath! While we partake in this journey, it is well known that it can be challenging. However, one has the power to ease the pain associated with this journey through understanding when help is needed, seeking the help, and being open to accepting the support. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado in 2006 and my master’s degree in counseling in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix, Colorado Springs campus in 2012. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado and Arizona. Over the course of my clinical career, I have worked and trained in residential treatment and community mental health centers including department of corrections and private practice. I consider myself a lifelong learner and crave learning new information. Due to my intensive training in Marriage and Family Therapy in graduate school, I have made this area my primary passion and focus. I have participated in extensive postgraduate training in addictions. However, I also greatly enjoy providing individual and group counseling for children and adults who are looking for support with more mild life stressors such as depression, anxiety, parenting education, health and wellness, and behavioral struggles. I specialize in family relationships, multicultural/diversity issues, grief/bereavement, depression, anxiety, anger management, and spirituality. I approach my work with a sense of humor, respect, humility, and honesty. I am honored to join my clients in their individual journeys towards wellness, leading to their brighter future. If you're ready to take the next step on your journey, I would be honored to support you along the way. Let's work together to create a brighter future.

As we grow and face the world, so too grows the number of challenges and responsibilities we face. And with this increase comes the possibility for new anxieties, new depression, and new traumas to arise. Often we can be left feeling unprepared because life rarely gives us a roadmap to dealing with these complex issues. Therapy can be a daunting task, but that doesn't mean it's not a good thing. Seeking help is the first step to starting a positive change and it is only once we embrace that change that we can reach a happier and healthier place. If you've been struggling more often then not, I encourage you to reach out. Whether it's just needing a safe place to talk about life's stressors, building coping skills, seeking solutions, or beginning to work on long held traumas, we will work together to face these issues as a team.

Need a place to explore your identity? Need support around microaggressions you have been experiencing? You may be in need of a non-judgmental healing space to process the daily stressors that come with holding oppressed identities. You deserve to feel empowered and supported. I am Black, non-binary, and queer. These identities inform my practice. I utilize a trauma-informed, social justice lens to look at client concerns in a wholistic manner taking into account systems of oppression, and experiences of trauma. I want my clients to see and value the strengths that they themselves hold.

Aurora, CO

At Ellie - Aurora City Center we strive to meet our clients where they're at to help them get where they want to be. We don’t believe people are broken. But we also don’t believe that “fine” is the ceiling of their potential. We believe therapy is part of the ongoing work of being human. Being human is the hardest thing any of us will ever do and while there is no universal map or linear path, billions of people have walked this terrain before and their collective wisdom across multiple dimensions is essential to framing our understanding of ourselves and each other There’s insight, strategy, and perspective available but no one can walk the path for anyone else. Our role as therapists isn’t to dictate or diagnose from a distance. Nor are we passive companions. We walk with our clients, actively supporting their journeys with clarity, accountability, and emotional safety. Therapy is where insight becomes action, and where healing isn’t handed over—it’s created, felt, and lived. We promise to show up, bring our full humanity, and help clients travel their paths with courage and clarity.
