You’re feeling stuck and you are so ready to make progress, but you’re questioning every decision. You hear people talk about “inner knowing” but you are so disconnected that it feels like your compass is broken, and you have no idea which way to go, or how to get there, or where “there” is. Feeling stuck, confused, unsure how to move forward - these can be related to anxiety and depression, or they can be the symptoms of going through big life transitions. Or both. If you find yourself scrolling through social media, numbing out with Netflix, waking up dreading the day, or just feeling a bit lost — I’m here for you. My therapeutic style is non-judgemental, but also honest. With your permission, I will brainstorm with you, make suggestions and offer guidance. I won’t give you my answers as if they are the only right ones. The answers are inside you. My job is to help you bring them to the surface. My specialty is in helping you to get in touch with your inner knowing so you can navigate life transitions with clarity and confidence, move through grief, process trauma, get a grip on overwhelm and anxiety, and find the best way to move forward. I can’t wait to meet you.
Find yourself often feeling out of balance or unfulfilled in life and relationships? Is it a struggle to maintain responsibilities to yourself and others? If you're ready to get honest and uncover and undo the behavior patterns that hold you back, I offer a safe and confidential space for self-exploration with supportive feedback, guidance, and skill development to aid you in navigating those challenging times of disconnection.
It's dangerous to go alone! If you're struggling to cope with stressors or experiencing mental health concerns, you deserve help. Together, we can understand your life experiences so far and envision a better world moving forward. I believe the stories we love can help us heal from our real-life experiences. Stories of heroism, triumph over the odds, and simple survival remind us of our shared humanity and our resilience. Whether it’s a video game, a book, a movie, or a TV show, we can use those references in our talk therapy to understand and change your hero’s journey for the better. I utilize psychodynamic and person-centered counseling to assist you in growth. In addition to mental health counseling for a variety of concerns, I am also passionate about gender-affirming care and have assisted clients in transition by providing necessary documentation and exploring gender expression.

I am is a bicultural therapist, mother and wife who is passionate about supporting my clients while they navigate their unique life, relationships, and transitions. I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. I have a BA in Psychology and a master’s degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology from Naropa University. I am trained in trauma-based therapy and EMDR. I can support you both in English and Spanish. As a somatic therapist, I believe in the phenomenal connection between body and mind. I work to help her clients understand and establish a close relationship with their bodies. My somatic training supports the healing process by helping clients understanding how tuning into the nervous system alone can generate more wellbeing in daily life. I work with families, couples, children, teens and adults. As a therapist, I advocate and work with people of diverse backgrounds. My main lens is on the importance of how relationships shape who we are. I have experience working within various forms of attachment-based therapy and utilizes a trauma informed perspective to meet her clients where they are. My main purpose is to create a safe space to explore and unfold the process of self-discovery, healing, and growth. I am passionate about my clients and the specific supports they’re seeking and know how to apply my training at the level others can understand. When it comes to breaking down barriers, I believe in the power of understanding, exploring, and joining around challenges that can often lead to division and disconnection with self and others. In my work I find that it’s very important to feel seen and recognized in ways that are compassionate and respectful on all accounts. I like to laugh a lot and finds that rushing into things or placing timelines on major life processes can sometimes be unrealistic in the therapeutic setting. In my eyes I see that each of us has a unique understanding around our own timing and rhythm in the world, especially when challenged with life transitions. Offering therapy online.

Many of my clients are college students who are seeking to find more internal stability, emotional regulation, and a deeper understanding and acceptance of who they are. Have you been struggling with reoccurring thoughts, memories, and images of past stressful events that you can't get out of your mind? Are you experiencing loss of time with no explanation, feeling out of control of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors? Does it sometimes feel that you are living life from the back seat with no control? You could be experiencing dissociation and the after effects of trauma. I specialize in working with the whole self to process through past trauma & negative beliefs about yourself in order to open up new ways of interacting with the world and new beliefs. As an EMDR trained therapist I use your brain's natural neuron network to help you reform negative beliefs about yourself that were formed in trauma. The brain holds onto trauma; using bilateral stimulation it is possible to make sense of our past memories so that they do not have emotional power over our lives. EMDR has also been known to decrease anxiety. If you are an individual who is struggling with past trauma, dissociation, or anxiety; please feel free to contact me for a free 30 minute consult to see if I am the right therapist for you. I would love to help guide you along your healing journey.

"I can't find meaning in life" ... "I don't know how to be real with myself or those around me" ... "I don’t feel connected to my partner anymore." Everyone wants to feel connected. We yearn to feel we belong and have meaning in who we are and what we do. Yet, it is not always that easy. I get it. However, I believe therapy can be a space for us to work together on finding meaning and developing the relationships you want. That is why I am here. To see you, to hear your voice, to understand your story, and to walk alongside you to get to where you want to go. Above all else, I believe in utilizing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to counseling to understand all of who you are--your thoughts, feelings, somatic experiences, desires, beliefs, and relationships. This way, you can become more aligned with your heart, mind, and body, working together to achieve your goals. In addition, I believe in using your values, purpose, and "why's" to help you align what you are doing and want to do with why you want to do it. As Friedrich Nietzsche states, "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how."
I have significant experience working with clients all over the world. I have worked with orphans in Mexico that were survivors of significant trauma and abuse and in Colombia with a group of displaced women, survivors of war. I am passionate about offering clients the opportunity to strengthen the gifts they have, and thrive. I work with college students from diverse backgrounds - those striving to bring their lives and their dreams together -- to help them achieve happy and healthy relationships. In addition to having extensive training in body psychotherapy, I have also trained in women's issues, EMDR, and domestic violence. I specialize in treating trauma and also anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder. I currently offer my services in both Spanish and English at my private practice.
As a somatic psychotherapist, I provide body-based trauma-informed therapy from humanistic, positive-values approach. I cultivate deep empathy for and with my clients in their present state.
