Therapists for college students near Atlanta, GA
Just like many other life transitions, the college and university experience can bring a mix of excitement and uncertainty. College students often face challenges with decision-making, adjusting to new environments, socializing, and managing increased responsibilities. These struggles can contribute to heightened anxiety, loneliness, and symptoms of depression, making it difficult to navigate this pivotal time in life. College-related anxiety can show up in many forms, ranging from mild, everyday stress to more extreme fears. The uncertainty of the future and what happens after college can trigger deep worries, even if those concerns aren’t based on personal experiences. You’re not alone—many students share these feelings as they face the unknown. As an anxiety therapist for college students, I take a unique approach to therapy. I work with you to uncover the root causes of your anxiety, and together, we create a treatment plan that suits your needs, whether you’re seeking short-term relief or long-term support. With an integrative approach that considers both mental and physical health, I help college students address their psychological struggles from every angle. Therapy is a collaborative process, where we’ll identify your specific concerns and develop personalized coping skills and techniques to guide you through these challenging times. Together, we’ll navigate your journey to mental wellness and help you build the resilience you need to thrive.
I strive to provide a safe space to work through emotions and find effective ways to manage them. I help people process past experiences and current reactions that affect the decisions we make in order to promote healthy change and understanding of ourselves and our patterns. Oftentimes, we are not aware of the underlying things that influence our gut reactions which can create a barrier to us meeting the goals we set for ourselves. Counseling is a way to help you understand yourself better and to break down those barriers that stop you from moving forward. I have a wide range of experience in helping people navigate identity, trauma, anxiety, and ADHD. I like to really meet people where they are at in their therapy goals, get to know where you want to be, and help you develop skills and tools that will help you meet those goals. I am big on self-compassion and building confidence that can create success.

I am a clinical social worker who provides individual therapy for adults. As a therapist my role is to provide a non-judgmental, safe environment for individuals to explore their life issues and support them in their personal growth. I find that a lot of us struggle with listening to our inner critic and often beat ourselves up for past regrets, as well as spending a lot of valuable time worrying about the past and the "what if's" in the future. I hope we can work together to quiet this critic and find a way to enjoy the present. My experience includes working with individuals in therapy addressing relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and assertiveness skills. I also work with individuals dealing with adjustments to major life changes, including adjusting to college. I also have experience working with individuals who identify as LGBTQ. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in practice, but may also utilize other treatment approaches as appropriate for each individual. I encourage self-care and self-nurturing activities to support therapy. Contact me today to get started on this journey together. I can also provide ESA letters if appropriate for housing needs.
In our "land of the free," experiences of depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma are increasingly common. Many feel weighed down by shame about the past, dread about the future, or disconnection in their relationships. Our culture that demands constant productivity makes it easy to lose sight of meaning and connection. I work with people navigating these challenges, particularly those at the intersections of religious trauma, neurodivergence, and gender & sexual identity. If you're searching for clarity, growth, and connection, I am here to partner with you. My practice is informed by DBT, ACT, psychodynamic theory, and intersectional feminism. I aim to be a fellow explorer and accountability partner. Above all, I am a curious person, and I thrive on finding the joy and (sometimes dark) humor in everyday life. I know that finding a therapist and scrolling through profiles can be stressful or scary. If you're feeling that way, we can start there. In our sessions, no topic is taboo or off the table (try me). Authenticity is never wasted, and I want to meet you in whatever stage you're at, mentally and emotionally. Reach out and let's chat.
Congratulations on taking the next step on your journey of healing. We know that getting to this point can be taxing mentally, however, you’ve achieved your first achievement by overcoming the sometimes scary part of reaching out for help.

Adjusting to college life can be difficult on so many levels. I can help with anxiety and depression issues that you've been struggling with for a long time or that are new to you. Issues I often see are related to adjusting to being independent for the first time, the rigor of school, or navigating new social circles. I have special expertise in helping folks with body-focused repetitive behaviors (skin picking, hair pulling) as well as being training in cognitive behavioral treatment of insomnia.
We get it. Life can be tough, and sometimes you need someone to walk alongside you. That's where Resilient Minds Behavioral Health and Wellness comes in. I am a licensed psychologist with over 15 years of experience, primarily in higher education settings. My practice focuses on working with diverse people who are navigating life transitions and demands, particularly those connected to their identity and sense of self. I believe each of us is shaped through our life experiences, both positive and painful. Therapy is an opportunity to explore these experiences, especially if you are feeling unfulfilled or questioning your life’s purpose and meaning. While this process can be difficult, it can also lead to tremendous clarity, insight, and even joy! Because of my years working in higher education settings, I have a nuanced understanding of the unique demands that undergraduate, graduate, and professional students face during these phases of life. I hold expertise in working with students of Asian descent and other BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students. I have worked extensively with LGBTQIA+ folx, first generation college students, those impacted by immigration (self or family), and student-athletes (DI and DIII institutions; I am credentialed through Emory Athletics Sports Medicine). Considering the different facets of client identity is central to my therapeutic approach, which is collaborative and empowerment-based. I welcome you to email or call me to connect about working together. I meet people via telehealth and offer a complimentary 20 minute initial consultation. The initial consultation gives us a chance to discuss your hopes for therapy, and we can collectively determine if we believe working together is in your best interest. I am authorized to practice in several states outside of GA via PSYPACT (psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap), which can be very helpful for students who live in different states when they are not in school. Congratulations on beginning this journey!

Welcome! I provide evidence-based therapy to address a broad range of presenting issues. Currently, my practice focuses on anxiety, depression, substance use, relationships, school stress, trauma, disordered eating, and other health concerns (e.g., sleep problems, adjusting to medical diagnoses, etc.). My primary task as your psychologist is to foster a supportive, collaborative environment where we are able to identify and work towards meaningful goals. In order to accomplish that, I utilize an array of strategies and therapeutic methods that are tailored to your particular presenting concerns. Together, we will collaborate to identify what is causing or perpetuating your distress and come up with strategies to improve your quality of life and help you thrive. Deciding to try therapy is a leap of faith, both in your therapist and also in yourself and your ability to improve your life. Thank you for letting me join you on this journey!
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like your emotions are running the show, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I work with adults who are navigating stress, difficult experiences, and emotions that can make everyday life feel heavier than it should. You might feel like you should be coping better, but something keeps getting in the way. Therapy is a space where we slow things down, make sense of patterns, and build practical skills that actually work in real life. My approach is collaborative, practical, and supportive. I draw from DBT, CBT, trauma-informed, and person-centered therapy, but I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. I focus on emotional regulation, self-compassion, and helping you feel more grounded and in control without asking you to be perfect. I approach my work with a balance of clinical expertise and lived understanding, always guided by what best supports my clients. Having been on both sides of the therapeutic space, I value creating an environment that feels safe, affirming, and human.
