We focus on evidence-based treatments, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to help individuals evaluate their relationship to their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that they can develop the awareness, flexibility, and resilience required to live in alignment with their values. Our clinicians are intimately familiar with helping students and families manage academic stressors and navigate the school setting with minimal interference from psychological distress. We believe in nurturing the therapeutic relationship and recognize the importance of creating a safe and healing space for our clients. Our goal is to help our clients build resilience and add to their repertoire of tools and coping mechanisms to help improve everyday functioning in the home, school, and community.

I work with both adolescents and adults, offering support on issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, gender identity, and sexuality. I am particularly passionate about helping those from diverse backgrounds, including members of the queer community, neurodivergent individuals, and those with the non-monogamous or kink communities. My approach to therapy is flexible to your unique needs. I incorporate mindfulness techniques, strengths-based perspectives, and trauma-informed care all while being sensitive to your diverse experiences. Sometimes, life can feel heavy. Maybe it feels like no matter how much you do, it’s never enough. Maybe you feel lonely or disconnected in your relationship. Maybe you’ve already tried therapy, read the books, and still feel stuck. Or maybe things simply feel harder than they need to, and you’re ready for something to change. I work with individuals and couples who want to better understand themselves and navigate challenges with more clarity and confidence. Through curiosity and collaboration, we’ll explore patterns, build practical skills, and find what works best for you. Through my experience in private practice and community mental health, I’ve had the opportunity to support people through challenges related to anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, sex, neurodivergence, and women’s health. My approach is collaborative, warm, and direct. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems. As a Gottman Certified Clinician, I also support monogamous and ethically non-monogamous couples in exploring the complexities of sex and relationships, whether they are navigating disconnection, conflict, changing relationship structures, or exploring desires. Building fulfilling, loving relationships—with yourself or with your loved ones—can be hard work, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Together, we can work through the messy parts with humor and lightness along the way. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to connect. Give me a call or schedule a free, 15-minute consultation so we can see if we might be a good fit.
We are a group practice with interns, LPCs and LCPCs providing individual therapy to teens, college students and adults. We also provide premarital and couples counseling. Some of our therapists have worked in either private practices, group practices or in a college counseling centers since 1997. We have all ages of therapists available to work with you. We find it a privilege to walk alongside people on their journey towards healing. Some clients say, that counseling is like having coffee with a friend who seeks to understand their pain & questions. We all have struggles, so why not "enjoy" walking through it together. There will be tears, there will be laughter, there will be serious dialogue.
Our patterns, desires, and growth are often tested in relationships. It can feel like we're going in circles when we find ourselves challenged by a transition or milestone or questioning our role in the lives of those closest to us. Beneath expectations we find understanding and beneath therapy jargon lies a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and sincere relationship. Here, our explorations can lead to deeper, novel understandings of your mind and body, and foster insights and empathy for yourself and your loved ones. In our work we will begin to name the unnamed meanings, perspectives, and desires that you hold and find their place in the future you want to build. Even in the fog of day-to-day life, you are instinctively taking steps towards your goals. My role is to offer support, curiosity, and skills that appreciate and bolster your intuition and strengths.
Hi! I am a clinical social worker with about 15 years of experience working across the lifespan and really enjoy working with young adults. I am in Lakeview/Lincoln Park above the Core Yoga building, and in network with BCBS PPO plans.
Most clients are already aware of what they need or where they want to go. My role is to help you identify what is getting in the way of living out your values each day, and to help you gradually remove those barriers. If you aren't sure what you hope to get out of therapy but just want to feel better, we'll work together on a plan towards increased wellness that fits for you. I consider myself a generalist but I have specific training in the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, substance use, grief, and personality disorders. My practice involves cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and mindfulness-based interventions. I do my best to tailer the interventions I use to the specific needs of each client. It takes courage to ask for help, whether you're experiencing mental health issues for the first time or whether you have struggled for years. I hope to make your experience as welcoming and comfortable as possible. The quality of the relationship between the therapist and client is, after all, one of the most important determinants of therapy success.
