College can be an overwhelming time, and together we can address issues that are affecting your academics, social life, and personal experiences. My clients are often navigating anxiety, panic attacks, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or chronic illness. I have extensive experience with LGBTQ+ folks. Some issues include persistent anxiety or panic attacks, depression affecting motivation, and mood instability. I provide a safe, affirming space, coping strategies for stress, and support in embracing identity. We can address goals of greater emotional stability, self-acceptance, building resilience and connections, and balancing academic work with personal challenges.
You smile and say “I’m fine” but it's not true. You don’t necessarily know what’s wrong so sometimes you even convince yourself you're OK. You feel overwhelmed trying to balance the demands of being a student, living on your own, preparing for your future, maintaining relationships with family/friends, gaining financial independence, etc. It feels like everybody around you has it all under control. You question whether you're depressed or anxious. Maybe you've learned to cope by scrolling on your phone and self-medicating. You want to learn healthier coping skills. You want to talk to someone who only has YOU in mind. You deserve to find a therapist who will listen, care, support and advocate for you. I have experience working with college-aged students who present with a variety of concerns including: ADHD, anxiety and depression, domestic violence, eating disorders, grief/loss, life transitions, relational conflict, self-esteem issues, stress management, substance use, and trauma. Check out my website to learn more about me! I offer an initial 45-minute consultation free of charge to all potential clients so you can make sure I am a good fit for you. Feel free to contact me by phone or email if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule a consultation.

His approach includes the use of medications and integrative therapy, combining principles of humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and wellness-based interventions that address elements such as restorative sleep, nutrition and exercise, and stress-reduction. Dr. Lacasse has a long-standing interest in understanding how social and cultural factors influence the expression and treatment of mental health concerns.
I work best with students who feel stressed, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the next steps in their life—whether that’s managing academic pressure, navigating relationships, or figuring out what comes after graduation. I help students make sense of their experiences, manage stress, and find practical ways to feel more balanced and confident. My sessions are supportive, and collaborative, giving you a space to be heard and explore what matters most to you.
The best mental health care occurs when the patient's needs are prioritized and deeply integrated into the treatment plan. Whether you're dealing with anxious thoughts, phobias, learning difficulties, physical symptoms tied to mental health, depression, grief, or feeling like a dark cloud is always blocking out your light, help is available. By creating a judgment-free environment that fosters safe and open communication, we’ll work together to carefully assess your or your loved one’s unique situation and develop the most effective care plan. I believe the key to addressing many unwanted feelings and behaviors lies in combining holistic and pharmacological approaches, including modifying one's environment, engaging in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and using medications to address chemical imbalances in the brain. As your provider, I will work diligently to create a personalized medication plan that alleviates your challenges while minimizing tolerable side effects. Additionally, using evidence-based measurement tools, we can track treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments along the way. Do you sometimes feel unsure of who you are? Are you going nonstop because being still feels impossible? Do you find that you're often trying to make yourself fit others' expectations, leaving you feeling uncomfortable in your own skin? Maybe you've lost a sense of who you are, always questioning everything you do and not wanting to be too much. You might freeze up, experiencing headaches and tension. You could be trying to control things like food intake or find yourself late-night bingeing. The ways you used to cope don't serve you anymore, leading to shame spirals and constant self-blame. It's hard to prioritize yourself when your mind is always racing. But you want more from life. You want to understand yourself, live in the present, and create a life that aligns with your values. You crave connection with others, the freedom to move comfortably, and the ability to trust your emotions. Your goal is to feel safe and free in your body, build healthy relationships, and find liberation. Therapy can help you find peace and deeper connections, especially when dealing with trauma and PTSD. Reaching out is a courageous act. In our sessions, we’ll focus on curiosity, presence, connection, and ease. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space where your experiences are valued. Building trust is key. As a neurodivergent person in a larger body, I offer a unique perspective and empathy. My approach is rooted in cultural humility, offering HAES-aligned, fat-positive, neurodiversity-affirming, and gender and sexuality affirming care. We’ll mix processing and skill-building to help you manage emotions and reconnect with your body. Therapy can help you break trauma cycles and find fulfillment. Let’s take this step together, toward healing, connection, and peace.

Offering telehealth sessions! I believe we are all naturally inclined toward personal growth and success—each of us with our own strengths, desires, and goals that would lead us in the direction of contentment and happiness under optimal conditions. Problems arise because we don’t live in a perfect world, and in an effort to adapt, we sometimes develop strategies that make sense in the short term, but are not effective in moving us forward. We “get stuck,” leading to anxiety, frustration, and conflict, which leads in turn to us feeling bad about ourselves and our relationships. I view therapy as a collaboration between me and my clients, where we work together to understand the root causes of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that get in the way of resolving problems. Together, we will clarify your goals, uncover and capitalize on existing strengths, and develop new ways of working through difficulties. My style, which is both directive and supportive, honest and compassionate, works to build the trusting relationship that will be key to our work together. My approach is integrative, eclectic, and flexible: we'll start wherever you are and go from there. The first step is the hardest, but you're not alone in the journey. Give me a call and we'll get you on your way!

I specialize in treating anxiety/OCD and insomnia disorders. I also frequently work with depression, ADHD, self-esteem issues, social/relationship issues, school and work stressors, and perfectionism. I work with adults and teenagers, and I particularly enjoy helping young adults navigate life transitions (e.g. high school to college/work, career changes, breakups and new relationships). Additionally, I work with many individuals from a variety of backgrounds for whom a significant source of stress is current events and the political climate. I strive to make therapy a place where anyone can feel free to express themselves honestly. I incorporate multiple therapy approaches into our work, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness training. For sleep issues specifically, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), which the American College of Physicians recommends as the first-line treatment for insomnia. I work with many people who felt like they were stuck in previous therapy, and my goal is to make our work as productive and useful for you as possible. I love getting to know people and I customize my approach for each individual. If you are interested in learning more about my therapy services, please feel free to reach out by phone, email, or text!
