Do you have a hard time understanding and articulating your feelings? Do you feel stuck in patterns or relationships that are no longer serving you? My focus is supporting individuals and couples in moving away from beliefs and behaviors that are holding them back and toward the life they want to live. Working together via online therapy, we’ll identify the patterns, thoughts and behaviors that are keeping you stuck. Our therapy sessions will be custom-tailored to help you gain insight into what’s not working for you and to figure out where you want to be and how to get there. Clients describe my style as calm, holistic, professional and compassionate. I offer a wide range of grounding, integrating and mindfulness practices in our sessions and use a body-based approach when appropriate, helping clients explore how various bodily sensations are linked to their emotional experience. I understand the pain and challenges of outdated beliefs and behaviors - and I know that it doesn’t have to be that way. I believe therapy provides us with the support, guidance and tools to navigate away from pain and suffering and toward new, more satisfying ways of being. Call me today for a free 15 min phone consultation, and we'll see if we're a good fit. I look forward to chatting with you!

College can be one of the most exciting and overwhelming seasons of your life. You may be adjusting to being away from home, navigating new relationships, questioning your major, managing academic pressure, or quietly carrying anxiety, depression, or past trauma that hasn’t had space to heal. On the outside, it can look like everyone else is handling it just fine — but inside, you might feel stuck, exhausted, unmotivated, or unsure of who you’re becoming. If you’re in that space, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to work through it by yourself. I work with college students who are in the middle of real life transitions — identity shifts, relationship changes, academic stress, family expectations, grief, trauma, and the quiet weight of self-doubt. Depression during college often doesn’t look like “sad all the time.” It can show up as procrastination, isolation, low motivation, difficulty focusing, or feeling disconnected from the person you used to be. Trauma can show up in relationships, in trust, in sleep, or in how hard you are on yourself. Together, we slow things down. We make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. We identify patterns that are keeping you stuck and build practical tools that help you feel more steady, confident, and grounded. My approach is collaborative and straightforward. I don’t believe in sitting back silently while you struggle to find words. We talk. We process. We challenge unhelpful thoughts. We work through emotional blocks. I integrate approaches such as CBT, trauma-informed care, and other evidence-based strategies to help you build resilience while honoring your story. My goal is not just symptom relief — it’s helping you understand yourself better so you can move forward with clarity and confidence. College is a time of growth — but growth can feel uncomfortable. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, numb, stuck, or unsure about your direction, therapy can be a space to reset and regain momentum. You deserve support as you figure out who you are and who you want to become. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to Request an Initial Appointment and begin therapy. You don’t have to wait until things get worse. Let’s work together to help you regain balance, rebuild confidence, and move through this season with strength.

You deserve to live a life that makes you feel excited to wake up every morning. It's time to tell anxiety, stress, angst, fear, self-doubt, and low self-esteem that it's time to kick rocks. If you are riddled with anxiety due to biological or environmental causes, or if you have experienced significant traumatic events, I am here to help you. The stress of the past plus the fast paced nature of today's society makes navigating issues relating to your family, job, school, health, etc. completely overwhelming. This does not have to be the case. It's time to let go of the grip that emotional and psychological pain has on you. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina with 6+ years experience as a mental health therapist and 10+ years experience working in the mental health field. Welcome! I am so glad you are here. Taking the first step can be hard, but one that can be extraordinarily rewarding. I have extensive experience working with students with anxiety, stress, academic and career needs, learning disabilities, Autism, behavior and trauma. I have been involved with writing, and implementing IEP's and 504's, as well. School can force you into learning things about yourself you never knew. It can be a great thing, but it can also cause stress, and force you to self-reflect in a way that we often times may want to avoid. My hope is to come alongside of you to create a life of resilience despite any adversity you may encounter. I am in network in NC with Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna. For out of network benefits, I can provide a superbill to assist with reimbursement and I also partner with a company to assist you with submitting claims, if you wish to utilize them.

I'm passionate about helping individuals live more fulfilling, happier lives every day through their own decisions, on their own terms. I believe that each client is on a unique journey with their own specific needs, and I tailor my approach to be as helpful as possible to each individual person. I work mostly with adults dealing with depression and anxiety, and have done so for 7+ years. For the past 3 years I have also enjoyed working with individuals struggling with fertility, postpartum/perinatal depression/anxiety, miscarriage, and infant loss. As a person-centered clinician I strive to create a safe space for my clients where they can let it all out. Maybe that's working through traumatic events, processing emotions, or just having a big vent. I also help clients set goals, recognize patterns, build self-awareness, learn coping skills, and strategize for success. I believe the most important thing about a therapist and a client is "goodness of fit," so if you think I might be the right fit for you, please reach out to set up a free 15-minute consult call with me!

My experience is primarily with Gen-Z and Millennials wanting to address anxiety, depression, relational concerns (communication, boundary setting, self-awareness, etc), religious trauma, and life transitions. Some niche areas include: Christians who don't want Christian therapy, exhausted performers / resentful people-pleasers, anxious change-resisters who struggle when newness comes, and those who want to grow in boundary setting and their sense of self. I'm a huge advocate for narrative therapy. Story-telling is healing and gives context for how we became who we are today. As we understand our stories and the labels we've acquired throughout our lives, we gain self-compassion and the ability to more effectively navigate our present-day lives. Please reach out to set up a consult call to see if the therapy vibes are there. If you'd rather text, my text-only number is: (704) 762-1162.
