A lot of the students I work with are used to being the “put together” one. The responsible one. The one who pushes through. But behind the scenes, they’re exhausted. Many are dealing with complicated relationships with food, body image, or perfectionism while also navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, or chronic illness. From the outside it might look like they’re managing fine, but internally it can feel like a constant battle with their own mind or body. A lot of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware, but tired of feeling stuck in the same patterns or feeling like they’re constantly fighting themselves. In therapy with me, the goal isn’t to shame or rush you into change. Instead, we slow things down and get curious about what your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are actually trying to communicate. From there, we work on building coping tools, creating more flexibility in patterns that feel rigid or overwhelming, and rebuilding trust with your body. You don’t have to come in with everything figured out. Many of my clients start therapy feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or even skeptical — and that’s completely okay. Therapy is just a space where you can show up honestly and start making sense of things at your own pace.
Everyone is responsible for protecting and nurturing their mental health. Navigating through difficult life experiences can manifest stress, unhappiness, anxiety, anger, etc. Sometimes, we develop harmful ways to cope with these life experiences such as isolating ourselves, lashing out at others, abusing substances, among other things. It can be difficult to take the first step and reach out for therapy/counseling. However, taking that first step means that you're prepared to figure out how you can improve your circumstance and move forward. It's my mission to offer you support through your process of achieving mental wellness!
You're likely here because something in your life isn't working for you and you want things to change. You want to get unstuck, you want to let go of the past. You want to live a more meaningful life and have healthy thriving relationships. You want to regain your confidence and to let go of worry and fear. Or, maybe you're tired of feeling frustrated by depression symptoms. Perhaps you are dealing with the effects of trauma. Whatever your story, there is help for you. We are a group of intuitive therapists that have devoted our careers to helping others overcome their challenges. We combine our love of helping others heal and training to help clients recover from past traumatic and stressful experiences. Laura Anthony is not accepting new clients at this time. We at CPWC believe healing is a collaborative endeavor and we are here to assist you on your journey to being free, whole, and happy.

Hello everyone and welcome to your new beginning. Firstly, I'd like to thank you for considering me in your therapy journey. This can be a nerve-wrecking and uncertain decision and I'm honored to be your potential therapist. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and completed my master’s in counseling at North Carolina A&T State University. I’m a rostered TF-CBT therapist and practice through a trauma-informed lens, helping clients feel safe, seen, and empowered. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I meet you where you are and help you build insight, resilience, and practical tools. Whether you're looking to process the past or manage the present more effectively, therapy can be a space where healing begins and real change takes root!
I describe myself as a “space creator” as I have a natural inclination toward the stories, triumphs, and obstacles of others. My primary objective has always been to establish a secure and supportive environment where individuals can rely on themselves rather than solely dependent on me. My intention as a clinician is to orchestrate an experience that cultivates vulnerability and fosters genuine connection. I challenge my clients, but simultaneously provide solace and empower them to undertake the necessary inner work. Learning how to pause, reflect, and celebrate efforts along the way is critical for progress and sustained success.
Do you want to start your journey to healing, happiness, confidence, and relaxation? Between the pandemic, natural disasters, and other personal challenges, we need support more than ever before. Perhaps you are feeling down, worrying all the time, lost a loved one, or dealing with trauma. I focused my career and expertise on anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma so I can help you! Imagine a life where you are not controlled by these setbacks. Imagine having the coping skills and tools to live a happy life again. There is no need to imagine this life, we can begin building it together.
Helping ADHD brains thrive - Trauma recovery with EMDR - LGBTQ+ affirming. You’ve been doing your best to keep it together, but your brain won’t slow down, the past still hits hard, or you’re tired of trying to explain your identity. If you feel scattered, stuck, or just plain exhausted—you're not alone. I help people like you find clarity, healing, and practical tools to move forward. I blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused strategies, and EMDR (when it’s a good fit) to help you create real change. We’ll challenge old patterns, take practical steps forward, and when appropriate, use EMDR to gently reprocess painful memories and shift the beliefs that keep you stuck. Therapy with me is collaborative, down-to-earth, and supportive—expect compassion, real talk, and plenty of space for laughter along the way. You don’t have to do this alone! If you’re ready to feel more grounded, focused, or just more you, let’s talk. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can see if we’re a good fit. You can reach out by phone or email—whatever feels easiest. I’m here when you’re ready.

Whole Mentality, PLLC was created to support clients, and the therapists providing support, as safe as possible an experience receiving care. While we would love to say that mental health care means supportive care for all people, the opposite is often reality. Whole Mentality, PLLC strives to serve people from all backgrounds, identities, orientations, ethnicities, abilities, and experiences with the respect and care we all deserve. We exist to create affirming, accessible, healing centered spaces that celebrate and value clientele and their providers. We acknowledge the impact of the people and systems around us, and how we in turn impact others. While we continue to learn and grow in how we can best support each other - we’ve started with being clear on our values, and commitment to serving our community well.
It’s not always one defining event—often, it’s the cumulative impact of stress, anxiety, low self-worth, and unprocessed experiences that gradually erode your sense of well-being. You might be noticing a persistent undercurrent of worry, emotional exhaustion, difficulty concentrating, or a critical inner voice that’s hard to silence. Perhaps depressive symptoms have taken hold, or past experiences are continuing to show up in ways you can’t control. I work with teens and adults who are ready to explore what's beneath the surface and begin the work of healing. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based practices. Whether we're unpacking the impact of trauma, exploring ways to better manage mental health symptoms or rebuilding your sense of self, we'll approach the process collaboratively and at a pace your nervous system can manage. You don't have to have anything figured out to start the therapy process. You just have to show up - and I'll meet you there. I encourage you to reach out if you think we will be a good fit!
Welcome! I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for disordered eating, eating disorders, and anxiety/perfectionism. I am extensively trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is an action-based therapy which helps individuals accept challenging emotions and experiences while doing what works and is meaningful to them - moving towards the life they want to live. ACT is an evidence-based treatment for eating disorders, as well as anxiety, depression, OCD, and chronic pain. For the past five years, I have worked in eating disorder treatment at all levels of care. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).
Are you looking for a space where you can be yourself and feel truly heard? Whether you are navigating stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or exploring your identity, you don’t have to go through it alone. Therapy offers a safe and supportive space to better understand yourself, clarify what matters most, and take steps toward a life that feels meaningful- whatever that looks like for you. My approach is collaborative, authentic, and rooted in curiosity. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most powerful tools for growth. In my work, I am fully present, listen deeply, and create a space where you feel heard and supported. This is your journey, and my role is to provide a space that feels safe, validating, and empowering- where you can explore, heal, and grow at your own pace. Together, we’ll explore your values, build flexibility in the way that you relate to your thoughts and emotions, and develop coping skills that fit your life. Rather than focusing on “fixing” everything, we’ll work toward creating a life that feels authentic and aligned with what matters most to you- even when life feels difficult. While I am open to working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults. Additionally, I am passionate about providing affirming care for people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community, creating a space where every part of your identity is respected and celebrated. If you have taken this step toward seeking support, I hope you feel proud- I certainly am! Choosing a therapist is deeply personal, so if something I said here resonates with you, I would be honored to connect and learn more about your story.
