I am a trained Sensorimotor Psychotherapist (Level 1), EMDR trained, Certified Yoga Practitioner (CYP-500), have training in facilitating Trauma Recovery and Empowerment groups (TREM) and Saber Es Poder (SEP) groups. Additionally, I have completed 30 hours of teacher training in Pranayama studies (yogic breathwork). I incorporate these core areas of education in my therapeutic approach. As a somatically focused mental health therapist, I integrate a body-centered approach in which the wisdom of the body assists the therapeutic process. Within this approach, I encourage clients to listen and honor the signals that the body provides. I value supporting my clients tell their stories as they have experienced them, explore emotions and understand thinking patterns that influence their relationship to themselves and others. I support my clients explore and understand the ways in which culture, language, family, community and the many aspects of identity influence their experience. I value approaching my work with collaboration, humility, focus and curiosity. I can support you and provide guidance as we explore, understand and find ways to make shifts to create the balance and changes you desire.
It is my belief that deeply understanding yourself and being deeply understood go hand-in-hand with healing. In our work together, I will support you in exploring your inner world, your relationships, and your history. I am guided by psychodynamic theory, while also being relational in my approach. This means that I aim to be spacious enough for you to vulnerably and bravely explore, and relational enough for you to feel safe to do-so. The people I work with often struggle with self-esteem, relationships, identity, communication, depression, and anxiety. No matter the concern you bring, we will work together to make sense of what is going on for you, and move you toward feeling better. I am able to work with you via Telehealth in Oregon and Washington, and in-person at my office on NE Alberta in Portland.
A therapist who is also a sensitive soul helping my fellow nerds and weirdos find their truth and thrive. I love working with the queer community, ADHDers, artists and theater kids!
As a neurodivergent therapist, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, embracing diversity in all its forms. My approach is firmly rooted in anti-racism, LGBTQ+ affirmation, and gender inclusivity, while actively promoting neurodiversity acceptance. My spiritually open mindset allows me to respect and explore various belief systems. Drawing from extensive clinical experience, I empower clients to navigate and challenge oppressive systems that often underlie emotional distress. My commitment to inclusive practices ensures that each individual's intersecting identities are acknowledged and valued throughout our work together. I create a safe space for clients of all body types and sexual expressions, maintaining a sex-positive and kink-friendly stance. In my therapeutic practice, I bring my whole, authentic self to every session. As an intuitive feeler (INFJ), I approach my work with a deep sense of empathy and insight. My core values significantly shape my therapeutic style, with a strong emphasis on fostering creativity, ensuring safety, upholding integrity, and embracing new experiences that catalyze positive change. I particularly value the development of relational depth in therapy, believing that a strong, genuine connection between therapist and client is fundamental to the healing process. This authentic approach allows me to create a space where clients feel truly seen, understood, and supported as they navigate their personal growth journey.

I recognize that seeing a therapist can feel like a big step to take. It is the beginning of a new relationship, a change to how you have been living, and a reflection on how you got to where you are today. For all of these reasons it is normal to feel anxiety or stress about making sure you find the right fit in a counselor. I believe in approaching counseling through a holistic lens, considering the ways that your environment, work or school related stress, relationships, social systems, and traumatic or other lived experiences might affect you in the present. With these considerations, I will support you in building a greater sense of self-awareness, allowing you to develop tools to live more closely in line with your values and aspirations. I work with clients in a manner that is both sensitive and analytical. You might be coming to counseling with something very specific that you would like to work on, or you might be unsure why things are not feeling right in your life. Perhaps you are feeling like your life is not going the way you had hoped, and you are missing a sense of purpose, excitement, or connection. Maybe you are struggling to change a behavior, relationship structure, or just the way that you're feeling day to day. In all of these cases, I will support you in figuring out the best path forward. My goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where you can better understand your experiences, resolve internal and relational conflicts, and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.
