As a holistic psychiatric nurse practitioner, my practice is deeply rooted in the principles of integrative psychiatry, where the focus is not just on alleviating symptoms but on nurturing overall well-being. I am passionate about partnering with individuals who are ready to explore a new perspective on their mental health journey. In our work together, we'll explore the root causes of your symptoms beyond surface treatments. We'll examine lifestyle factors like diet, inflammation, and physical health, as well as any past trauma and disconnection. Understanding these core issues will help us address the underlying impacts on your mental health. Our goal is to tap into your body’s natural healing by addressing foundational elements holistically. We aim to connect your mind, body, and spirit, promoting not just symptom relief but sustainable well-being. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to support your unique needs and help you achieve a balanced, fulfilling life.

On paper, everything looks good. Underneath though, you're feeling unsettled and struggling. The people I work with typically look like they are doing well in school and in life, but are struggling to manage their feelings and feel settled in their bodies and mind. I help those struggling with anxiety and depression who are not sure why they feel the way they do. I help people find beneficial coping skills instead of relying on possibly harmful ones. Being a student and navigating the landscape, both locally and globally can feel very overwhelming. I help people break things down into manageable pieces in order to restore a sense of agency and confidence. If you have any questions or need some support, feel free to message me. I return inquiries within 24 hours during the week and on Monday if sent over the weekend.

Champion Family Therapy is a small, locally owned practice founded by Jessica Champion, LMFT in 2018. Prior to opening Champion Family Therapy, Jessica Champion had the vision for fifteen years of creating a mental health therapy practice that was family-centered. She saw the need for a clinic that would address the challenges of individuals, couples and families, by incorporating the many facets of recovery, including relational dynamics and core beliefs transferred through generations. From this vision, Champion Family Therapy was born. At Champion Family Therapy, we understand that most people seek therapy after unwelcome challenges in their lives. We are always moved by the desire for change and the risk it takes to make that call. It is our job to meet you where you are with competence and compassion.

My passion is to assist people who desire to get unstuck, be more confident, feel more relaxed, connect with others, feel less irritable, communicate better, understand their dreams and are looking for meaning and purpose in their lives. We might be a good fit if you are someone who has difficulty with boundaries and assertiveness or think of yourself as a "people pleaser." Another good fit would be if you feel that you are lacking direction in your life or feel like "something is missing" but aren't sure what it is or how to find it.

Each person brings with them a different story and unique perspective, which gives us the opportunity to meet you where you are in that moment, with empathy and support. We believe the role of the therapist is to be there as a guide in the process of helping you trust your inner self more and assist in learning new coping strategies to better manage the adversities in life. All services are via Tele-Health, which gives the Client the comfort of their items and space during the sessions, often helping to feel more secure. Please email to schedule an appointment as written communication works best. Hours of availability are Monday-Wednesday with no evening availability. My practice is built around providing counseling with Neurofeedback to adults and adolescents. I believe therapy can be tremendously beneficial in many ways, but particularly in offering an opportunity to look at life experiences and difficulties within an environment that emphasizes a strong, appropriate, and trusting relationship between client and therapist. EEG Neurofeedback is guidance of brain function, resulting in a more efficient and self-regulated brain. We watch the brain in action from one instant to another, and we display that information back to the person. We reward the brain for altering its own activity to more suitable patterns. I am able to quickly build rapport with male clients who are uncomfortable in therapeutic situations and those who have difficulty expressing their emotions.

I enjoy working with motivated individuals and people in all relationship configurations who are seeking change. My style is approachable, warm, and collaborative, with a dash of humor when appropriate. I will be learning just as much from you as you are from me since you are the expert in your own life, even in times when it doesn't feel like it. From my former work as an intake coordinator, I know how hard it can feel to reach out for therapy, and I would be happy to see if I can help you meet your goals with a brief initial phone call.
