I have several years of successful outcomes working with college aged students both enrolled and not enrolled in classes. I specialize in anxiety and depressive disorders as well as life transitions. I often ask the question "Who am I" and help clients explore and develop their own answers to this question. I approach therapy realistically and meet the client where they are at during each session. I approach therapy as a team (you and I) and believe success only occurs when we can trust one another. I have been told that I am approachable, easy to talk to and "down to Earth".

Welcome to The Hawthorne Center! We are a private practice run by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Chelsea Mazzotta. We offer in-person services in Allison Park, PA, and virtual services throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, and The District of Columbia. Hi! I’m Camryn, a dedicated clinical mental health counselor with a passion for holistic, trauma-informed care. I aim to create a safe, supportive space for the “misfits”—individuals who are often labeled “too sensitive,” experience intense emotions, or struggle with a sense of belonging. I enjoy working with individuals on issues including self-esteem, stress management, life transitions, grief, identity exploration, emerging adulthood, and complex trauma. I also enjoy working with artists and athletes. As a certified yoga instructor, I prioritize the mind-body connection and respect the body’s intuitive wisdom. My colleagues often describe me as exceptionally warm and welcoming. I am currently accepting new clients and am humbled and honored to walk beside you in your journey to healing
I offer client-centered treatment options that are determined collaboratively between us. I value all people and work to be culturally sensitive and aim for cultural humility when working with someone whose identity is different from my own. I will always seek out information on my own to fill in gaps of general knowledge, but will look to you to share your own personal experiences and beliefs that may or may not follow the general norms of any given cultural identity. My clients often struggle with depression and anxiety which have systemic and/or family-based roots, and my job is to facilitate a process to help you develop self-understanding and self-knowledge to make choices that are right for you.
My practice offers both in person and virtual appointments, making it more convenient for your scheduling needs. My background has been working with college aged young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, and career counseling/ vocational planning. It can be uncomfortable to start therapy but I want you to acknowledge you have already made the first step, so you are already making progress!
I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, academic stress, attachment-related issues, and the emotional effects of childhood trauma, family dynamics, and unmet relational needs. In our work together, we create space for self-discovery, healing, and reconnection—with your needs, your values, and your inner sense of wisdom and power. Reaching out for support is a brave step. If you're ready to feel more grounded and connected, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
I work to empower students to thrive while navigating the transition to college and beyond. This includes support with building confidence and resilience, managing stress, anxiety, and depression, and helping create a positive college experience. I create a warm and open environment to address issues and create lasting change.
