Therapists for college students near 77005
I’ve been where you are. I remember carrying 18+ credit hours, trying to keep up with classes, friendships, and life while wondering if I was on the right path. I changed my major what felt like a million times—from musical theatre to fashion merchandising, journalism, and public relations/advertising—before eventually becoming a teacher and then finding my calling as a therapist. Life doesn’t always follow a straight line, and that’s okay. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, ADHD, relationships, trauma, or simply trying to figure out what’s next, I want therapy to be a place where you feel understood, supported, and never judged. If I don’t accept your insurance, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m happy to work with private-pay clients and can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement if your plan includes out-of-network benefits. I’m also happy to answer any questions and help you figure out the most affordable option.

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker who practiced in a college counseling setting for over 4 years and I have 15 years of counseling experience total. I continue to work with college students in my private practice and I enjoy working with people to better manage anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, OCD, grief, life transitions, relationship, concerns, and general stress. My practice is body positive and LGBTQ+, immigrant, and international student supportive and affirming. I aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for processing fears, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. I use various types of therapy, including ACT, CBT, DBT skills, somatic therapy, schema therapy, ERPT, narrative therapy, and person centered therapy, but I tailor sessions to what works best for you. I also welcome your feedback in the process. I strongly encourage coming to therapy in the way that you are most comfortable - meaning, swear if you feel the need, don't apologize for eating in sessions if you are hungry, show up in your pajamas - whatever. As long as you are safe and comfortable and you are able to talk privately, I support it. I offer a free 15 minute consultation call to see if we are a good fit, because having a therapist you trust and match with is paramount. I offer virtual telehealth sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I offer in person sessions in Kingwood, Texas on Wednesdays. Please feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to connect and I wish you the best in your therapist search!

It’s about creating space for stillness and self discovery, learning tools to cope, and finding the strength to move forward. If you’re feeling lost or weighed down, this is a place where healing begins. Let’s embark on a journey together, one where healing, growth, and meaningful relationships become possible.

College and early adulthood can be exciting, but they can also feel overwhelming. You may be trying to balance classes, work, relationships, family expectations, and questions about your future, all while wondering if you’re the only one who doesn’t have everything figured out. Maybe you’re feeling anxious, burned out, lonely, stuck, or like you’re constantly overthinking. Many of the students I work with are thoughtful, motivated, and care deeply about doing well. From the outside, they often appear to have it together, but internally they’re struggling with stress, self-doubt, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from themselves. Therapy offers a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I won’t just sit back and nod, I ask thoughtful questions, help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and support you in developing healthier ways of coping, communicating, and relating to yourself and others. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and challenged in ways that promote meaningful growth. I provide virtual therapy for college students and young adults throughout Florida, New Mexico, New York, and Texas, making it easier to fit therapy into your busy schedule. Having the ability to express yourself freely and without judgment is an essential part of therapy, and the relationship between client and therapist is a key aspect of this. As a social worker, I recognize the importance of human relationships and the environment we live in, as well as the negative impact they have on our ability to function. I utilize a person-centered, strengths based approach to understand individuals as a whole, and work collaboratively with clients to address their challenges and reach their goals. I provide individual therapy focusing on anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Identifying as a nonbinary lesbian myself, I understand how difficult it is to find a competent provider with whom you feel safe and understood. If you’ve made it this far, I encourage you to take the next step and reach out so we can see if this would be a good fit for both of us.
