College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between. It’s a time of big changes, big questions, and a lot of pressure—about who you are, where you belong, and whether you’re doing “enough.” I work with college students who are navigating anxiety, body image struggles, perfectionism, and that nagging feeling of not measuring up, even when everything seems fine on the outside. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or just off, therapy can be a space to slow down and figure out what’s really going on. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you and what helps you feel more like you. My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. Whether you’re on campus or away, we’ll work together to help you feel more confident, grounded, and connected—both to yourself and the life you’re building.

Are life's challenges weighing you down? Do you find it difficult to balance a healthy lifestyle? Unexpected situations and roadblocks can often bring up feelings of uncertainty and stress. This in turn can affect how you think, feel, and act. Therapy can provide valuable support in understanding and managing these effects to promote personal growth and resilience. My goal is to create a safe environment while you explore your feelings, navigate through life challenges, develop effective coping strategies and adapt to new life circumstances.
It takes courage to begin this process, and I’m honored to walk with you as you navigate whatever brought you here, at your own pace and in your own way. I specialize in working with clients experiencing stress, anxiety, grief, or life transitions, and are looking for a space where they don’t have to explain or translate who they are. They want to feel a genuine sense of belonging — not just in therapy, but in the world. These clients value connection, emotional safety, and authenticity. When the time feels right for you, I’ll be here and ready to support you. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), emphasizing practical strategies, emotional understanding, and meaningful progress. While these frameworks guide my work, I recognize that each person is unique—so I tailor every session to align with your individual needs, values, and goals. As a counselor, I’m deeply committed to creating a supportive and inclusive space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered. My passion for mental and emotional well-being drives me to walk alongside clients with empathy and respect, helping them navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. In our work together, I strive to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative. My communication style is warm, direct, and grounded in empathy. I take a person-centered approach, which means I listen without judgment and honor your experiences, values, and goals. At the same time, I draw from solution-focused techniques to help you identify strengths, gain clarity, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

Do you feel overwhelmed, burnout, mentally or physically exhausted? Are you struggling with anxiety and can’t seem to manage mood swings? Unable to achieve your goals due to lack of attention span and decreased motivation? There may be many contributing factors complicating your situation such as unresolved conflicts from childhood, substance abuse and interpersonal relationships. It may also be quite scary to seek medications and treatment for things you can feel but not see. But let me tell you- we are not our brains! Rather we are affected by the way how our brain functions and we all depend on the healthy flow of neurotransmitters to function and to thrive. Some brains produce these naturally, while others require some assistance and that’s nobody’s fault- same way that it is not an individuals fault for producing less insulin or thyroid hormone. So let’s aim to resolve these mental health issues together with holistic and integrative methods. As a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, graduate of Vanderbilt University and with over a decade of experience, I am well versed in evaluating, diagnosing and treating mental health disorders for children, adolescents and adults. I am truly committed to provide exceptional and high-quality psychiatric care. Utilizing extensive expertise and evidence-based practices to enhance mental health across the lifespan and eliminate disparities. Passionate about making a positive impact on individuals’ well-being.

According to the American Psychological Association, mental health therapy can help a person going through a challenging life event or situation, treat mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, and address symptoms like sadness, guilt, or anger. The process is also helpful when dealing with relationships with family, friends, and coworkers. I work with adults and adolescents, as well as couples and groups. I have found a niche working with first responders experiencing moral injury, generational trauma and estrangement, adoption, abortion, and miscarriage issues, chronic pain, DNA testing matters, grief, loss, and suicide prevention, intimacy issues, legal/offender issues, overcoming church hurt or past abuse, parental alienation, sexual assault/rape, and low self-esteem and self-confidence. I would be honored to work with you as you begin to live your best life. Counseling can help you as you confront long-standing life issues, or specific concerns that need to be addressed. The length of counseling can range from several weeks to several months, depending on the number of issues that will be discussed.
