Maybe you are having difficulties in your relationships or are going through significant life changes and looking for support? These are just some of the reasons people come for therapy As we travel through life each of us encounters change and difficulty. Loss, trauma, illness, aging, career or marital changes. Even positive events in life such as going to college, a new job, or a new relationship can throw one off balance, causing stress, anxiety, depression, and confusion. It's OK to need help sometimes. I offer therapy services to adults, children, and adolescents. I enjoy working in a collaborative way with clients, helping them to build on their strengths, get a new perspective, and develop their untapped resources. Hi! I’m Nadine! My mission is to help you course-correct to a life you feel comfortable with. We are going to research what lights you up, what feels wrong or miserable, and why this is going on for you right now. Then we will create small steps you can take towards feeling better. This hopelessness won’t last forever. And you will feel confident and competent again. You are in the middle, and the middle is always shitty and confusing, and disorienting. Together we can find where you are getting stuck. We can work on ways to help you get grounded and remember who you are. I will help you stretch and strengthen your ability to feel and navigate the big emotions that arise while narrating your story of trauma.

I meet clients virtually to quiet negative self-talk and build resilience in their nervous systems using a patent pending somatic processing tool. With a stronger nervous system, it’s easier to not be overwhelmed, in fact your baseline becomes calm, less triggered, and more balanced. Clients routinely report resolution of panic attacks; resolving the underlying causes of the negative self talk; resolving the root causes of anxiety, depression, rage, and numbness; having better relationships; and understanding their emotions better. This transformative work addresses the nonverbal impact of stressful/traumatic experiences including feelings, sensations, emotions, muscle tension, numbness and dissociation; the areas where talking is not effective. Benefits typically begin with the first session. We use CBD, medical cannabis, or ketamine assisted virtual sessions to activate brain areas that facilitate safely processing emotions, and make new brain cell connections (associated with learning and working around blocks) among many other benefits. Many patients complain about the emotional numbness and other symptoms caused by their psych medications. Because I am a medical doctor, as patients improve I am able to help wean them off of their meds when appropriate. Insurance is not accepted, but sliding scale payments are. Licensed Professional Counselor
Sacramento, CA

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) at Foresight. I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Education from the University of Montana. I have experience working in Community-Based Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) settings. I have a passion for working with young and older adults to help them develop and utilize the necessary coping skills to manage and thrive during difficult times, life transitions, and needed change. My specialty areas include depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and stress management. I approach therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP). In psychotherapy, one might explore feelings and assumptions or beliefs about oneself, others, and the world around them, learning how such beliefs can alter mood and interfere with emotional well-being. Originally having grown up in Japan and then moving to the U.S. over twenty years ago, I was excited to have the opportunity to work in the mental health field, as mental health is a highly stigmatized subject in Japan. I now work with individuals who struggle with cultural adjustments, their family systems, and most recently, anxiety and OCD. I understand how culture and mental health are closely intertwined and aim to assist clients in making peace with both.

Additionally, I understand the potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness to create great insight and healing, and offer assistance in psychedelic integration.

I'm a licensed psychotherapist based in California. I am first generation Mexican American and have lived in Los Angeles all my life. I am a bilingual, Spanish/English, speaking therapist; although I gravitate towards speaking Spanglish. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from USC. I received my B.S. in Sociology and Criminology from Mount St. Mary’s University. I have been working as a therapist for the past six years; where I have supported others in their mental health journey. Throughout my career as a therapist, I have worked serving low income communities and minorities in the public mental health sector. I have experience working with individuals struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, mania, and psychosis. I am passionate about working with adults navigating life transitions who feel overwhelmed and confused when thinking about their future. They often question that they are “not good enough” or worry about living up to other people’s expectations. We can work together in finding your identity, self confidence, motivation, and drive to face your challenges.

“I’m the loneliest girl in the world,” you think to yourself while lying in bed at night. Your parents, partner, and friends are of absolutely no help. In fact, when you go to them with your problems, they only make things worse—offering their BS life advice or making it all about themselves. Ugh. Once again, you feel alone—utterly alone. Your heart breaks when a friend cancels plans and then you criticize yourself vehemently for being “so sensitive” and for expecting so much of others. To comfort yourself, you seek food, booze, or zoning out on Netflix but nothing works. What’s a 20-something girl with her whole life ahead of her to do? It may feel like this is “it” for the rest of your life—a lonely existence—but it’s not. I help women just like you to attain the connection, confidence, and contentment you crave. By working through what lead to your loneliness, feeling “all the feels,” and finding ways to show up for yourself, you will transform from being utterly lonely to simply…happy. You’ve been feeling lonely for far too long. It’s time, sis. Nothing’s worked but therapy will. Pick up the phone and give me a call. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation for you to ask questions and make sure we have “good vibes.” Next, we will schedule our initial session and officially put an end to your lonely existence.
