Our society teaches us to value independence, confidence and productivity – sometimes to the detriment of personal relationships and our own sense of self-worth. Almost daily we are bombarded with narrowly defined gender roles, and ‘rules’ around how we should look, act, think and feel. I enjoy collaborating with clients to reconsider the boundaries of their lives, how they create meaningful relationships, and in doing so, identify their preferred ways of engaging with the world around them. My therapy approach is client-centered, compassionate, honoring of your values and lived experiences, and focused on the changes you would like to make in your life. I draw from Narrative Therapy practices and Solution-Focused principles to support you in re-writing your personal story and overcoming the challenges that keep you feeling stuck. I also recognize that many of the hardships that clients face are the result of systemic racism, injustice and inequity. These can manifest in a host of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression and intimate partner violence, to name a few. Additionally, I supervise Associate MFTs working to obtain their clinical license. They provide tele-therapy appointments at a reduced fee. See more details on my web site.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process in working towards ones goals. I see my role in the therapeutic process as a privilege and strive to create a safe, judgment-free space for my clients. Through insight, compassion, warmth and humor, I hope to establish a trusting relationship and provide my clients with a safe space to share. I look forward to walking with you on your journey.
I’m a first-generation South Asian American therapist who works with students navigating anxiety, academic pressure, identity exploration, perfectionism, and cultural or family expectations. College can feel overwhelming—especially when you're trying to meet high standards or carry the weight of multiple identities. I offer a compassionate, culturally aware space to slow down, be heard, and reconnect with your true self. My approach is holistic and mindfulness-based, blending evidence-based therapy with tools from yoga, meditation, and Eastern psychology. I offer virtual sessions in CA and IL, and in-person sessions in Ventura, CA.
Hello and welcome. Firstly, I can offer services for psychological evaluations and therapy. Evaluations can be helpful to address learning disabilities, ADHD, or psychological pieces that are impacting performance in your educational pursuits. Therapy approaches are integrative and dependent on your goals. I work from an integrative approach that looks at all aspects of you, to recognize and boost your strengths and to put in place tools and cushions for any weak areas that are present. I offer a safe space and take a nonjudgment approach in my work. After all, we have all been struck with the human condition. :)

Hi, I’m Claudia, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) under supervision based in Los Angeles. I work with college students and young adults who are navigating stress, anxiety, relationships, identity questions, and big life transitions. I take a warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. My work is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from relational, somatic, and parts-based approaches (like IFS), while always centering what feels most supportive and accessible for you. Therapy with me isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about creating a safe space where you can slow down, make sense of what’s going on, and build tools that actually fit your life. As someone who has balanced school, work, and major transitions myself, I understand how overwhelming this phase of life can feel. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, family dynamics, or simply feeling stuck or unsure, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

If your life had a resumé, “chameleon” would be at the top. You’re so good at figuring out others’ needs, they’d never suspect that you have them too. If you were honest with yourself, though, you’d admit how stressful it is to live for other people. You’re terrified you’ll lose relationships if you speak up or say no. Your energy is drained or you feel resentful. You’re exhausted from wondering if others like you or approve of you. If you make choices that disappoint others, you feel guilty and selfish. Your whole identity is about pleasing others, & you want to feel comfortable being your authentic self, but you have no idea how. If this sounds like you, I’ve got you! We’ll shift your story so you'll see your sensitivity to others as a strength. You’ll be a boundaries badass who feels confident with your decisions. You’ll take your perfectionism head on and feel able to live in the present. And you’ll have action steps that feel good, because they’re finally in line with YOUR goals. I specialize in treating Highly Sensitive People and recovering perfectionists & people-pleasers. I see clients online through a convenient video platform, so that therapy can work seamlessly with your busy life. Contact me for a free 20-minute consultation to determine if I’m the right therapist for you! I look forward to speaking with you!

I can help you notice how patterns and experiences from your past show up today, and can help you to sort through what you would like moving forward. Welcome to my page! My approach is flexible and depends on your needs, values, and goals. I work best with clients who want a warm, compassionate, and direct space to process their experiences, challenge unhelpful patterns, and build practical skills for everyday life and relationships. I strive to create a comfortable space where authenticity (yours and mine) is central. I'll always come to session with warmth, curiosity, and a little silliness. My work is rooted in relationships, community, and attachment. I blend mindfulness, creative approaches, and evidence-based talk therapies to support clients navigating political stress, sadness and worry, identity exploration, relationships, life transitions, and feelings of disconnection or burnout. I especially enjoy working with young adults to strengthen communication skills, build confidence, and reconnect with themselves and others during periods of change and uncertainty. Everyone deserves to experience more of the good things in life and less of the bad. Individual and collective healing is a radical act toward experiencing and creating more of life's good things. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, explore what matters most to you, and work toward creating more ease, connection, and meaning in your life. If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to connect.

"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." - Victor E. Frankl Making the decision to seek therapy is often a deeply personal one and something that you may not have come to easily. The unknown aspects of therapy can be intimidating, but I am here to create a safe and accepting environment where you can embrace your true self, with all its vulnerabilities and honesty. My belief in the innate power of every individual to grow and transform their lives fuels my passion for therapy. I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative and open-minded relationship with you. Our life experiences can have far-reaching implications, affecting relationships, work or school performance, self-image, and overall beliefs about oneself and the world. I enjoy working with diverse clients, including teens, young adults, singles, parents, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. While I take my work seriously, I am, by nature, a truly laid-back person and strive to make you feel welcomed and supported throughout our journey together. In the words of Abraham Maslow, "In any given moment, we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety." I commend you for taking that first step forward.
My approach to therapy is one that focuses on connection and sharing. I combine "humanistic" and "CBT" technique; to put it simply, I want you to feel heard and understood and I want to help you enhance your ability to go inward, examine your thoughts, and tolerate your emotions. Other modalities I pull from are IFS, EMDR and DBT. I specialize in treating trauma and eating disorders. *I am EMDR trained by an EMDRIA approved training facility
