Experienced in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, I am passionate about helping patients improve their overall well-being and quality of life. I have more than 15 years’ expertise in various settings and roles, helping adults navigate struggles with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, postpartum and related women's mental health issues, grief, and schizophrenia. I value a collaborative approach to treatment, working closely with you and partnering with medical and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, individualized care. Improving lives with mental health care begins through collaborative care. That’s why I empower you to take an active role in your treatment, emphasizing education, shared decision-making, and the use of evidence-based practices for diagnosis and treatment. I believe that medication is most effective when paired with therapy, healthy coping strategies, and supportive interventions, so I utilize all approaches to help you achieve your healing needs and goals. Mental health has always been a part of my life. My father worked in mental health as an Occupational Therapist, and my mother was considered a specialist in Autism, ADHD, and IDD as an Occupational Therapist. When I was 9, my brother entered the world with neurodivergence, and I had to adapt and learn quickly to support him. These lifelong experiences led me to become an advocate for patients, driving me to work collaboratively with them, treat holistically, and provide education. Outside of clinical work, I enjoy attending comic conventions, exploring new experiences with my two young children, 3-D printing projects with my husband, thrifting, collecting crystals and minerals, and crafting.
Life throws many challenges at us and sometimes it can be hard to know what to about these challenges. I work with clients who struggle with anxiety and depression and are feeling down more than usual or aren't feeling like they belong. I know what it feels like to not feel good enough, to worry about what people think of you, and to constantly be there to help others but not always be there for yourself. If this is something you struggle with, I am confident we can work together to navigate these issues. We can add more joy and take away stress from your life.
My approach to this work is open, honest, and transparent. I will work collaboratively with you to create a safe and trusting space so that you can feel heard, supported and understood in a way that encourages you to process your experiences at your own pace. This is your journey and you deserve to feel empowered and confident in the now, AND as you embark on your future. Being a young person in this world is tough enough and having space to process your world view and navigating a new level of independence can be challenging. You deserve to focus on your mental health and I would be honored to support you along your journey. I offer free 20-minute consultations, so please do not hesitate to reach out, no commitment necessary just an informal chat to see if we would be a good fit. Here is one of my favorite quotes: “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” ― Carl Gustav Jung I'd love to support you in discovering your true identity and finding your voice in this world!
Healing is rarely a straight path, and having the right support can make all the difference. As a mental health therapist, my work centers on helping adults 18 and older from diverse backgrounds navigate the ways mental health shapes their personal, professional, and social lives, whether that means managing everyday stress or working through more complex challenges. My commitment is to meet you exactly where you are, as a collaborative partner on your therapeutic journey, to help you build the tools and insight needed to move forward. Together, we'll work toward the clarity, resilience, and hope you deserve. Compassionate, humorous, and guided by you — that's the foundation of how I show up for every person I work with. I believe deeply in the healing power of human connection, and getting to witness that unfold in practice is what drives me. At all times, you can expect a nonjudgmental space where laughter is always welcome alongside the harder conversations. My style is empathetic and adaptive, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Mindfulness-based approaches to strengthen your sense of well-being across all areas of life. Your unique goals, experiences, and needs shape the direction of our work together, because the most meaningful progress happens when care is truly tailored to you. My path to becoming a therapist began with first being a patient myself. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support and the profound impact attentive, caring treatment can have on a person's life. Today, that lived experience informs every session I offer. Alongside my clinical training, it grounds me in empathy and authentic presence, and I'm just as eager to learn from your story as I am to share the tools that may help you write the next chapter. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me recharging through creative and outdoor pursuits. Drawing and painting offer a meditative outlet, while fishing and archery bring a welcome sense of patience and focus. Reading keeps my curiosity alive, and regular walks help me stay grounded, a practice I find just as valuable in everyday life as in the work we do together.

Do you ever feel like you just need to cry, scream, break down, or maybe do all three? Sometimes, life can feel like a lot to carry on your own, especially these days. I aim to provide a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and work through the things that feel difficult to put into words. I believe therapy should be collaborative, supportive, and tailored to you. My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and creative approaches such as art, music, and play. I strive to create an affirming, judgment-free space for people of diverse identities, relationships, and lived experiences. I am LGBTQ+ and kink-friendly, and I believe every client deserves to feel safe, respected, understood, and supported. Together, we can work toward meaningful change while building on your strengths, values, and goals.
I'm passionate about walking alongside people who have a sense that, "Maybe, just maybe, it doesn't have to always be this way." Perhaps you're feeling stuck in the same relational dynamics, holding beliefs and ideas about yourself, others, and the world that no longer seem helpful, or wanting to figure out what it might look like to be a more healthy, whole, and honest person. Many of us often have a desire for life to look different, but we might not be sure how to get there. I view therapy as a process that can help us discover more about where we've been, who we are becoming, and how we want to live. I have extensive experience treating anxiety, panic, depression, shame, acute and complex trauma, and working with people seeking to heal from family wounds, relational patterns & distress and religious & spiritual harm. I help people set boundaries in line with their values, find greater safety with themselves, and practice new ways of being. I have pursued training in many areas such as addiction, neurobiology and anxiety, attachment, complex trauma, and EMDR. I’m queer, and I work significantly with the LGBTQ+ community and am affirming of all orientations and identities. I'd love to talk with you further in a free 15-minute phone consultation!
Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming, but with the right one by your side, true healing can begin. As a clinical social worker specializing in individual psychotherapy and neurodiversity-affirming care, my goal is to make that process feel a little less daunting by offering a collaborative, supportive space where you can show up as you are. My work centers on older adolescents and adults navigating mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression, as well as those moving through life transitions, grief, loss, or anticipated loss. As a queer clinician, providing identity-affirming care is also central to my practice, particularly for those exploring sexuality and gender, or who face systemic barriers to self-expression and self-actualization. If you choose to work together and the connection feels right, I'm confident we can do meaningful work. My approach is strengths-based, relational, and grounded in a person-in-environment perspective, which means I consider you within the greater context of your life, your relationships, and the systems that shape your daily experience. All of my work is rooted in a social justice framework, and a deep belief in every person's inherent dignity and worth. Together, we'll explore the events and relationships — both past and present — that inform how you move through the world, building deeper self-understanding and self-compassion along the way. You can expect a warm, accepting, and responsive environment where the therapeutic approach is tailored to your unique needs and preferences. That often means blending meaningful self-reflection with a growing toolkit of practical skills and techniques you can carry with you outside of our sessions. Before becoming a therapist, nearly a decade was spent working as a professional musician, an experience that instilled a deep appreciation for the courage and vulnerability that authentic self-expression requires. Sitting with our emotions, sharing them, and exploring them can feel scary, but it can also be genuinely beautiful, opening doors to connection and self-discovery that might otherwise stay closed. At my core, connecting with people has always been what drives me. That's why authentic curiosity, empathy, and an open mind are things I bring to every interaction. My education, lived experiences, and professional background all converge in service of one goal: creating a space where you can work toward better understanding yourself and expressing who you truly are. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me singing, traveling, or cooking and baking for the people I love. Shared meals with friends and family are something I treasure deeply, as are deep belly laughs and adventures with my husband and our dog, Bagel.
My therapeutic emphasis is focused on creating a collaborative, open, safe, judgment-free, warm, and empathetic environment for clients. As we navigated through one of the most challenging years of a pandemic, I understand that you may feel as if there is a weight holding you down in life. If you’re looking for help improving your everyday life – or for a more tailored therapy experience – I believe you would be a great fit. I believe we all have an inner resilience toward life's challenges and sorrows, and by rediscovering that resilience, we can find new meaning and joy in our lives. Coronavirus has created a significant You are not alone. You are strong and together we will get through this. If you are seeking help identifying, utilizing and processing your emotions, I encourage you to contact me today. Together, we’ll work on increasing awareness of emotions, separating useful from hurtful emotions and using healthy emotions to guide action.
Hi! I'm Allison. I'm here to help you with the stress, overwhelm, and anxiety you're feeling as you try to lead the life you want. If you're tired of being REALLY hard on yourself and you want to start letting go of that and be more content with who you are, reach out. I'm anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergence affirming, and I'm ready to support you. I see clients in person near I25 and Colorado in Denver or by telehealth. My goal is to meet you where you are and understand what you want to work on – you’re the expert on your life but I can help you see it differently and make the changes you want. That might include coping strategies, looking at your needs, strengths, and values, using brain/body techniques like Brainspotting to release uncomfortable emotions, and more. I always start with the relationship because you can’t work with someone you don’t trust. I am calm, focused, and empathetic, and I still have a sense of humor. I’m always authentic (and I’m not always the textbook therapist) and I give you the space to be the real you. I’ll see you, I’ll accept you, and I’ll have your back as you make the changes you want. Do you feel worried or insecure, overwhelmed or numb? Do you feel scared or anxious about social interactions or events happening in the world? Are you struggling to feel able to navigate transitions and stressors that you are facing in life and school? I want you to know that you are not alone in how you are feeling and that I genuinely believe you can find connection, calm, and confidence through engaging in therapy. I also want you to know that I have faced similar challenges to the ones above and have found great healing through interventions that I offer in my therapy practice. My approach in therapy is to constantly be aware of the "whole picture" that impacts each person (oppressive systems, laws, history, world events, family systems, education systems, and relational interactions) while also focusing on the "here and now" of what you are experiencing. The majority of sessions with me are outdoors, in public parks and on trails, to encourage re-connecting to yourself and to the natural world. I also offer sessions indoors and online when the weather does not allow us to be outdoors safely. I am an active participant in each session, whether I am listening, guiding a mindfulness or experiential activity, or being with you in the emotions and experiences that are coming up. My hope is that through our work together, you will be able to re-connect to yourself, find grounding and a sense of peace by connecting to nature, and learn concrete tools and practices that help make navigating daily life more manageable. I recognize that this work can be difficult, takes time, and does not have a clear map. I believe in walking through the journey together, wherever it may lead, with curiosity and empathy along the way.

Beginning therapy—or starting with a new therapist—can feel vulnerable and daunting. As a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), I create a space that feels welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe to support adults who are ready to improve their well-being and navigate life’s transitions with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. My specialties include perinatal mental health and women’s mental health across the lifespan, along with mood and anxiety disorders, stress management, attachment disorders, and more. When working together, you are assured a warm and non-pathologizing approach to care that is grounded in humility and respect for the courage it takes to share your story. I welcome the opportunity to connect for a brief consultation, bringing skill and compassion to your journey no matter where you’re at along the path. I believe each person is the expert in their own life. Therapy is, therefore, a collaborative process, where I listen deeply and work with you to clarify your goals and move toward healing and greater well-being at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we attend not only to areas of pain, but also to your strengths, values, and passions. My approach is warm, person-centered, and strengths-based, drawing flexibly from a range of evidence-based modalities. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. In addition, I am trained in the Gottman Method (Level 1) and use Gottman techniques in my work with couples. As a clinician with lived experience as a mother and more than ten years of experience as an educator, I bring a deep understanding of family systems, child development, and the realities of parenting. This background allows me to support mothers and families with both compassion and practical insight. When I’m not in the office, I love reading, spending time in nature, taking in all kinds of art, and having adventures with my family.
