I can support you in managing the worries, sadness, and stress you're feeling in order to have a more enjoyable college experience.
Hello! I am Dr. Janice Delgado. I offer online therapy to college students and young adults that are looking to find meaning and connection or improve their relationship with themselves and others. I have specific training and several years of experience working in college counseling centers. I work through a Client-Centered and Trauma-Informed lens to help my clients understand the relationship between their life experiences and worldview with their current struggles. My goal is to help you find new ways to perceive old situations and create a bridge toward resilience. Getting the right psychiatric medication, and truly optimizing it, takes more than a prescription. My background as a psychotherapist sets my medication management approach apart: I bring a clinician's understanding of the whole person to every prescribing decision- comprehensive assessments, attentive follow-up, and genuine partnership as we work toward getting you feeling better as soon as possible. My experience spans community health, universities, private practice, and leading medical centers including McLean Hospital and MGH. I specialize in medication management for adults navigating depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. I have advanced training serving LGBTQIA+ populations and I’m a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. Whether you're new to medication or re-evaluating your regimen, I offer thorough, individualized care. All appointments are telehealth, making care accessible wherever you are in Massachusetts. I prioritize clear communication and collaboration- you'll always understand your treatment plan and have a voice in shaping it. My goal is not just symptom relief, but lasting improvement in how you feel and function day to day.

If you are in a place where you feel stuck and want to change, let's address it. It is good to have an unbiased person in your life, who can keep it respectfully real with you and provide a space to communicate your feelings. As a therapist, I specialize in working with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem, and inner conflict. I work with clients from a strengths-based, perspective; focusing on your positives and using them to help with your challenges. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); breaking down how our thoughts directly affect our behaviors. Every client is different and I will work to make sure I am providing the appropriate interventions for your growth. You have so much potential and it is okay if you seek out help, it is commendable as we do not have to navigate this life alone. If this resonates with you, I look forward to hearing from you and helping you work on your life goals! Contact me for a consultation to see if we are a great fit and assess goals. Let’s work together, I would love to support you.

I work with adults dealing with challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, stress, & executive dysfunction. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to fit your unique needs. I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques to help you better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges and build on your strengths. As a queer, autistic/neurodivergent, & disabled therapist, I am especially passionate about supporting people within these communities in a way that is respectful, understanding, and empowering. I recognize the impacts that trauma & systems of inequality can have on mental health, & strive to provide care that is compassionate & inclusive. I show up as my authentic self & work to create a space where you can feel safe, comfortable, & accepted. You are the expert on your own life, & my role is to support you as we explore what you need to heal, grow, & move forward.
I believe the role of a therapist is to be more than a reflective and empathetic companion in the client’s journey and must also incorporate directive approaches in order to alternate between being a companion and being a leader on that journey. Inherent in this belief is that clients are coming to therapy because they want something different than what they currently have. This can be as simple as a new perspective on a past or current struggle or as complex as a new skill set for managing and overcoming emotional, behavioral, cognitive, relational, or somatic patterns that have arisen in response to emotional distress. My theoretical orientation is rooted in Systems Theory and I utilize interventions from Family Systems Therapy, Internal Family Systems, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, ARC, as well as Somatic and Mindfulness based psychotherapies. I have over 15 years of clinical experience working with adolescents, college students, adults, couples, and families. My experience has shown that change is typically hard work and often requires compassionate and collaborative support in order to build new skills. I see clients in both Oregon and Massachusetts and I offer a 30 minute free video or phone consultation to see if I am the right fit for you.
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience. I treat Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, OCD and Bipolar Disorder. My approach is integrative and collaborative with a focus on each individual’s unique experiences, needs, and treatment goals. Whether you’re facing life changes, coping with a complex diagnosis, or exploring medication options, my goal is to provide a supportive, judgment-free environment where you can feel safe to heal, grow, and move forward.
I help clients impacted by anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship concerns, sexual intimacy concerns, and identity-based stress. Together, we’ll explore how your various identities and lived experiences influence the way you navigate life and relationships. You will better understand yourself and develop the necessary skills to confidently face everyday challenges. I’m here to support you by recognizing and valuing all parts of who you are. My therapeutic approach is trauma-attuned, psychodynamic, relational, and social justice-oriented. I enjoy helping transgender and gender diverse clients explore their identity and experience more connection. I support clients seeking gender-affirming treatments/surgeries by collaborating with their medical providers. I also welcome folks from other diverse communities, including LGBTQ+, BIPOC, neurodiverse, and other underrepresented identities. Reaching out for support isn’t easy, especially if therapy hasn’t always felt made for you. I aim to offer a space where your full identity is welcomed and your voice has room to grow. Visit my website or get in touch with questions. I’d be glad to explore whether we’re a good fit. I provide therapy through Intersect Clinical Services, a preferred provider for Boston-area students. We accept UHC StudentResources and Aetna Student Health with minimal or no out-of-pocket costs.

Have you been in therapy before or are you new to mental health therapy? My goal as your therapist is to meet you where you are at and move together towards the changes you would like to see. I pull from a variety of different styles to address your goals, including skill building, CBT, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed care approaches. I hope to foster a space where you feel seen and heard and where you are able to take care of what has brought you to therapy (or back to therapy) in the first place. I offer weekly, bi-weekly, or, in some cases, monthly sessions at 45 or 60 minutes in length via telehealth. All sessions start with a phone call where we 1) make sure I am the right fit for you, 2) verify your insurance or payment method is active and all set, and 3) schedule you an intake and an ongoing appointment time that works for your schedule. I return all calls and email requests for therapy services and hope that I may be of help to you at this point in time or, at the very least, be able to point you in the right direction.
Due to the pandemic, I currently only offer telehealth visits.
