I offer 60 minute sessions and specialize in half day therapy retreats. A therapy retreat is an efficient and comprehensive pathway to heal trauma in consecutive days instead of over many years in weekly therapy, and can accelerate symptom relief. I utilize evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, Progressive Counting, and the Flash Technique to effectively heal the roots of distressing emotions and negative beliefs stored within traumatic memories. I bring my passion for somatic psychology, trauma-sensitive mindfulness, and attachment theory to my therapeutic approach. I invite my clients to offer a gentle curiosity to all parts of themselves, so that together we may attune to what the body, heart, and spirit are most needing to restore wholeness. I offer Telehealth and in-person sessions at my Portland Old Port office. I welcome the opportunity to hear from you to determine if my services are a good fit for what you are seeking.

If you’ve spent years feeling different, overwhelmed, exhausted from masking, or wondering why life feels harder than it seems for others, you’re not alone. I specialize in adult ADHD and autism evaluations for neurodivergent adults (ADHD, Autism, AuDHD), especially those identified later in life. My affirming, collaborative evaluation process helps you better understand lifelong patterns related to executive functioning, sensory experiences, emotional regulation, burnout, and relationships. I also provide neurodivergent-affirming therapy for adults seeking support, clarity, and self-understanding. Visit ashiftinfocus for more. We don’t need fixing- even if it feels like that. Therapy is a space to explore both the struggles and the beauty of being neurodivergent, with self-compassion, nervous system support, and real-world strategies. I also offer separate adult ADHD and autism evaluation services for those seeking diagnostic clarity. If life feels harder than it should, you’re not alone & you’re not broken. Many ND adults seek support after years of pushing through, masking and wondering why nothing ever quite fits. Support can help you understand yourself differently and move forward with less shame and more ease.

I enjoy collaborating with students to help them successfully navigate the challenges that they are experiencing. Regardless of the challenge, we will work together to develop a plan that targets individual goals, feels supportive and productive, and is geared toward reducing distress while fostering growth, understanding, independence, and overall well-being. I am experienced in utilizing a variety of approaches, which allows me to shift between modalities and work with each individual to determine what will work best. Beginning therapy can be an overwhelming experience for some. I am committed to ensuring that the space feels safe and supportive, and that the overall experience is as positive as possible.

We offer counseling that is warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental so you can feel that you have someone who has your back while you work towards the change you want to see in your life. If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or down, we can help by offering strategies to help you regulate your nervous system and challenge that inner critic who is telling you that you don't deserve joy or rest in your life. If you're nervous about starting counseling, that's okay. We got you and we'd be honored to join you in your journey.

Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything you’re “supposed” to do, but still feel overwhelmed, lost, or unsure of where you fit? Maybe you’re trying to balance classes, work, relationships, family expectations, and your own goals while quietly wondering, “Am I the only one struggling with this?” I work with young adults, including first generation students of diverse backgrounds, who are navigating big transitions and trying to figure out who they are while building the life they want. This may look like feeling stuck, dealing with academic or career stress, struggling with anxiety or burnout, feeling pressure to succeed, or trying to find your place in a new environment. As a bilingual therapist and someone who is first-generation, I understand the challenges of finding yourself while balancing family expectations, culture, and your own goals. Therapy can be a space to explore your identity, build confidence, and create a life that feels authentic to you. Whether you are struggling with stress, perfectionism, relationships, grief, major life changes, or simply feeling like you’re not where you want to be, I provide a supportive space where you can feel understood and develop tools to move forward. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start therapy. Sometimes reaching out is the first step toward understanding yourself better and creating meaningful change.

I love working with college students and young adults. I understand what a complex and sometimes overwhelming time of life this can be; whether you find yourself struggling with anxiety, depression, or difficulty navigating your relationships, I am truly passionate about supporting my clients in their process to gain deeper self-understanding and foster personal growth through self-compassion. I work from a place of genuine curiosity and respect each person’s path as unique. Life is wonderful and really hard at the same time. Sometimes, our struggles take over and interfere with our ability to appreciate the things we love and care about. When this happens, it can turn into developing unhealthy ways of coping and a cycle of suffering. My goal is to help you learn how to reduce suffering and to develop healthier ways of coping. My approach is behavioral; we will work together towards specific goals in a proactive manner. Clients describe me as gentle, humorous, understanding, and change-oriented. I have extensive experience treating eating disorders and anxiety disorders. I practice using an evidence-based treatment model called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) model, which utilizes mindfulness, cognitive interventions, exposure techniques, and movement towards goals and values. I can also help you if you are struggling with life transitions, relationship problems, or a sense of feeling stuck in your life. I firmly believe that most people would benefit from therapy.
