I work with college students navigating life transitions, loss, and the question of who they are and what comes next, often carrying patterns, unspoken expectations, or a sense of self shaped by experiences they didn't choose. As a bilingual, native Spanish-speaking therapist, I understand how nuanced identity can be and how exhausting it is when that isn't fully seen or honored. My specialty is helping young adult clients reclaim a sense of self during stages of life where identity and agency are often overlooked. I believe in a body-first, present-focused approach to treat your symptoms, prioritizing stabilization while trusting that lasting change comes from a deeper understanding of our histories, relationships, internal worlds, and motivations.

Life has a way of feeling overwhelming just when you think you’ve got it figured out. Whether you’re navigating a major transition, struggling with a persistent cloud of anxiety, or simply feeling disconnected from the person you want to be, I’m here to help. I believe that the most important part of therapy is the relationship we build together. My style is warm, collaborative, and occasionally punctuated with a bit of humor! Healing is hard work, but it doesn't always have to be heavy. Together, we’ll create a safe space to untangle your thoughts and build the tools you need to feel more grounded and resilient.

It can often feel daunting and challenging to ask others for help; however, I am glad you have ended up on my page and are looking for support at this point in your life. My hope as your future therapist is to help you emerge into the best version of yourself by helping you overcome some of the internal barriers that may be impacting how you perceive yourself, others, and the world. As a therapist, I like to approach my work with clients in a collaborative, exploratory, & conversational manner. I will also remain attuned to your unique experiences and intersecting identities (e.g., race, gender, sexuality) throughout our work. I have worked with clients on a wide breadth of concerns, including (but not limited to): anxiety, depression, career concerns, relationship concerns, family of origin concerns, identity exploration/development, & interpersonal concerns. I have experience working with undergraduate & graduate students, adults, and other mental health providers. **I am in-network with Aetna (NY, MD, & VA) and Anthem (NY).** I am an out-of-network provider for all other insurances. If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance often will cover a large percentage of the session fee. I can provide a superbill for your sessions, which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Finding a therapist with whom you feel comfortable and connected is key. Thus, I offer a complimentary phone consultation to help determine whether we might be a good match. If my approach resonates with you, please reach out. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It usually means you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time. I work with college students and young adults who are trying to keep up on the outside while feeling stressed, burned out, or unsure of themselves on the inside. Therapy with me is practical, supportive, and focused on helping you understand what’s actually driving your anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt, and what to do about it in real life. Sessions are a space to slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and build tools you can use outside of therapy. You don’t need to have the right words, a clear goal, or a crisis to start. We take things at your pace and figure it out together. If you’re curious about therapy but not sure it’s for you, a consultation is a low-pressure way to ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit.

Therapy for Young Adults Living with Loss and Grief in New York Navigating the overwhelming waves of grief can leave you feeling isolated, even when surrounded by those who care. You feel connected to others, no longer overwhelmed by loneliness. Each day, you rediscover joy and purpose, engaging fully in relationships, work and hobbies. Therapy can help you honor their memory while embracing your own future. I'm a licensed psychotherapist with over a decade of experience, as well as a human who's experienced loss myself. Between chronic stress, systemic inequities, and the emotional labor of simply getting through the day, it can be hard to know where to begin. If you’re here, something in you is ready for change. I’m a Black male therapist in NYC providing trauma-informed online therapy to adults across New York State. Many of my clients are Black men, people of color, immigrants, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and young adults seeking care that feels affirming, honest, and grounded. My approach is culturally responsive, collaborative, and relational. Together, we explore patterns shaped by past experiences while also building practical tools to support emotional resilience, self-trust, and meaningful change in the present. Welcome to your therapy journey, or welcome back! Now that you’re here, what do you discuss? How do you begin that conversation about mental health and wellness? As your therapist, I will immerse you in the therapy experience and provide a safe space for you to talk about yourself and what you’re looking for. In my work, I am a queer-affirming therapist who takes a relational approach to therapy, where I encourage you to explore your past relationships and reflect upon how they may have impacted you now. I treat anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, life transitions, and negative self-esteem, and work with a diverse range of clients like college students, adults, and individuals in BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. I have experience working in various clinical settings and previously worked at LaGuardia Community College's Wellness Center where I learned how to navigate a college counseling environment while providing care for hard-working students experiencing academic-related concerns. Outside of therapy, I am an artist, a social justice advocate, and an animal lover. If you are interested in booking with me, please schedule an appointment through Greenpoint Psychotherapy’s website. If you are a provider, feel free to email me or send a referral and I will respond accordingly.

I’m a queer Black femme therapist who believes you are the expert of your own experience. I’m here to walk alongside you with warmth, curiosity, and care, while offering a space where all of you is welcome, including the parts that may feel heavy, hidden, or hard to hold. My approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental, sex-positive, and deeply affirming of trans folks and queer people of color. I believe healing happens in connection, and I strive to co-create a space where you feel seen, respected, and supported exactly as you are. My work is rooted in psychodynamic and relational therapy, with elements of mindfulness, CBT, and narrative therapy woven in to meet your unique needs. I show up with empathy, presence, and care. I’ll also gently challenge you and ask questions that invite reflection and growth. I don’t believe in “fixing” people. Instead, I see therapy as a collaborative process where we explore together, honor your truth, and build something meaningful in relationship. I believe healing happens when we both bring our full, authentic selves into the room. We’ll talk about heavy things, but that doesn’t mean it always has to feel heavy.
