Are you looking for a supportive, safe space to process and share your concerns related to you or your child? Have you or your child tried to push through depression, codependency, low self-esteem, anxiety, or weak interpersonal relationships for a long time? Surrender your old story and prepare to embrace a new one. I know the feelings of loneliness, hopelessness, and being misunderstood and I know the value of having had a support system of those who believe in me when life gets hard. Fortunately, there is a way to change patterns by learning to think and feel differently. Through multiple techniques, I aspire to help change the way you may think and feel about yourself and the world, by identifying unhealthy thinking and helping you challenge them. Together we will work on shifting your mindset and making progress towards your personalized goals. MY BACKGROUND In addition to receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at CUNY Queens College and Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at LIU Post, I am a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). I am fluent in Spanish and English. I am excited to use my knowledge and skills to help children, teens, and adults who might be more comfortable with therapy in Spanish, through individual/group settings. While earning my Master’s degree, my interest in mental health and the counseling field grew. I couldn’t wait till the day that I would finally be able to do what I’ve wanted to do since I was a child. Upon graduating, I was an intern for a pediatric clinical psychologist. Being able to see the work and gaining some hands-on experience opened new doors for me and showed me an additional side of helping people. From there, I moved on to a clinic that specializes in treating those who suffer from addiction/substance use disorder which gave me the opportunity to use my counseling skills differently. I was able to meet each person as soon as they began their recovery journey, as I conducted their initial assessments and guided them in their recovery journey by helping them meet their individualized goals through individual and group sessions. The experience of being in the counseling field has been one of a kind, especially as a health care worker through the COVID-19 pandemic. All things are possible due to my strong commitment and interest in helping the community. MY APPROACH My goal is to empower my clients, as I wholeheartedly believe in the ability to change while learning to be gentle with oneself. Please allow me the opportunity to join you and your family on this journey to overcome obstacles and embrace accomplishments. An inner sense of peace may feel far from reach for you or your child, but I promise it’s available to your family. Are you ready? You’ve made it this far, now just reach out! If you would like to contact me or make an appointment, please email me at stephanie@trianglecognitivetherapy.com or call me at 516-208-3792 ext 29.

I believe in healing through corrective experiences. It is possible to heal from trauma & anxiety, rather than just learning coping with it! I prefer to use methods that are designed to alleviate the distress associated with painful memories. This includes Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and other Experiential Therapy modalities that are proven to be equally as effective in a virtual setting.
I provide individual therapy to people ages 18 and up. I specialize in working with queer and trans people, pot-stirrers, and outsiders. I enjoy working with people who are confronting major identity shifts, people who are navigating issues with their families of origin, and people who are trying to envision a future they never imagined themselves in (What is middle age? What is aging in queer spaces? How can I live meaningfully in late stage capitalism?).
I provide a safe, supportive space where we can explore challenges you’re facing, discover what matters most to you, and create meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs—whether you’re navigating stress, relationship difficulties, uncertainty about the future, or just seeking personal growth. I believe in your resilience and capacity for healing, and I’m here to help you align your life with your values and goals. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to support you on your journey.
College life can be both exciting and overwhelming. Between classes, social pressure, and figuring out your future, it’s easy to feel stuck or burnt out. Whether you’re navigating relationships, self-doubt, or big decisions, you don’t have to do it alone. Let’s work together to help you thrive.

Depression and anxiety can strike at any age. But understanding the developmental challenges our clients are facing, regardless of what life stage they are in, is fundamental to our approach. College students face an enormous array of stressors as they are learning to live independently, separating from home and family, figure out who they are and what they want to be, establishing or navigating new social groups, starting/searching for/ending significant romantic relationships, managing heavy workloads, or simply dealing with the pressure to excel. We are here to help you navigate these very real stressors, to empathize and to teach you skills to address the depression and/or anxiety these stressors can cause.
As a clinical psychologist, I specialize in work with depression, difficulties relating to trauma and anxiety, and with gender identity and sexuality. My goal is to help you to feel less suffering and to experience a more fulfilling life. A good experience in therapy involves both psychologist and patient. Together, we'll focus on the impacts of low mood, anxiety, low self esteem, or whatever is getting in the way of your life—and how to help you to overcome these obstacles. I have experience working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with a variety of concerns, as well as with those who are GNC or queer. In my clinical work, I use evidence-based practices for conditions such as major depressive disorder, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In my academic role at Bard College, I study and teach on the impacts of mood disorders, trauma, and depressive thought. (I do not usually see current Bard College students.)
We are a group therapy practice offering in-person and virtual sessions to young adults and adolescents in the Hudson Valley. We treat different issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, LGTBQ+ issues, and life transition issues.
It is both normal for us humans to get stuck, scared, or in our own way and also to need space and support to understand the cause of our struggles, face our fears, make changes, and grow. My goal as a therapist is to use our combined wisdom (your knowledge of yourself and your life, my experience and expertise), and sometimes that of my therapy dog Bella, to explore your concerns, increase awareness, insight, and self-compassion, identify options for change, and understand and respect what you choose to do as a result of this process. I have over 20 years experience as a psychotherapist and specifically working with university students (and staff), international persons, and musicians/performers.

Hi there! My name is Brianna, and I intertwine my experiences as a psychotherapist, yoga teacher, perpetual student, community organizer, and insights from my own mental health journey into my holistic practice. I aim to provide an engaging and warm environment where together we can access tools to help you cope with stressors; set healthy boundaries and improve communication to fuel connection and build relationships; step into your emotions to better regulate them; reprocess past traumatic experiences; and strengthen your attunement and awareness to your body. You have the innate power to heal yourself, I’m simply here to guide and empower you along the way. I use techniques from multiple modalities, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic experiencing (SE), internal family systems (IFS), intuitive eating, and feminist therapy, while always adding a multicultural and anti-oppressive lens. Together we can collaborate to tailor an approach that best addresses your needs in an environment where you feel seen, heard, and empowered. Hello! Intrusive and scary thoughts, over-analyzing, mental reviewing of events, repetitive behaviors, and skin-picking. These are all symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety is natural, but when severe, it can be hard to cope with — often getting in the way of things we want in our lives! My passion is to help others begin the journey of working through the anxiety, toward the life they want to have. I make use of a variety of therapeutic modalities, including ERP, ComB, ACT, and I-CBT, but I ultimately hope treatment will be a collaborative process assisting you in identifying steps to reach your goals. I strive to create a safe space in which you feel comfortable to discuss your thoughts and fears. Given that I have my own lived experience with OCD, I feel I can provide a deeper level of understanding for those living with anxiety and OCD. I, too, have been there. I understand how scary and difficult it can be. We can take that first step together.

Hi! My name is Samantha Fontana, a licensed mental health counselor at Spotless Mind Mental Health Counseling. I collaboratively work with young adults and adults to improve their mental health by utilizing an integrated and evidence-based treatment approach. Psychodynamic talk therapy, CBT, DBT, ERP, and psychoeducation are just a few of the treatment approaches that I incorporate, as I believe therapy should be individualized for you. You may feel stuck sometimes, have trouble understanding your emotions, or need some help sorting out your thoughts, but the good news is you do not have to do it alone. Mental health affects every part of your life, and I am here to provide a safe, empathetic, and judgement-free space to explore and express what you are experiencing. It is important to talk about your feelings and experiences, and by examining them together, we can address any concerns regarding anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or negative thoughts, to name a few. We can then work on building coping skills to help you deal with life’s stressors. I look forward to helping guide you along your journey to a happier and healthier mental well-being.
