With warm greetings, I inform that as a Clinical Psychologist, my mission is to guide you towards identifying and achieving your highest standard of excellence, as you reach and learn to believe and come to love your best self along the way. With that will come the capacity to successfully negotiate interpersonal, work life and family relationships, affording you meaningful and enduring connections, novel inspirations, motivating aspirations and opportunities for enhanced happiness and fulfillment. Together we will walk paths as a confident, bold, yet gentle spirit within you cultivates loving words and acts, ambitions and realizations. It will be my honor and privilege to serve you. I am a North American born NYS Licensed Psychologist with an array of international education and work experiences. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology and a four year postdoctoral specialization in Frommian Psychoanalysis. I have lived and worked in both Europe and Mexico, as well as in the USA and have treated a wide variety of culturally, ethnically, racially, religiously and linguistically diverse populations, as well as in age and symptom particularities. I am happy to provide culturally competent services to racially, ethnically, religiously and linguistically diverse populations. Amongst these are Latino, African-American, African, Native American, Asian, Middle Eastern, European, Jewish and those of other racial or ethnic backgrounds. To that end, in addition to English, I speak Spanish, Italian and French. I treat mainly adult and geriatric populations representing both diversity in age and symptom/diagnostic presentation. In terms of hobbies and leanings, I enjoy cultural pursuits: art, music, literature, dance and multicultural settings. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals and hospitals dedicated to medical illnesses wherein psychological problems are etiologically related to the disease in question, or are secondary to them. I have also worked in private practice spanning my professional career and in the corporate sector. I am passionate about my profession and understanding the many routes to discover the unknown and the truth. My interest is mission driven relating to a drive to help by activating one’s finer qualities and inspiring clients to speak to life with a higher voice. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, my work is rooted in creating a therapeutic space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, the weight of trauma, cultural or racial identity concerns, life transitions, or relationship challenges, you don't have to face it alone. With a particular passion for supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, my practice is designed to be inclusive and affirming for all patients, and especially meaningful to those who haven't always felt centered in their care. Our work together is genuinely collaborative, because healing happens best when you're an active part of the process. Bridging that gap, together, is what I'm here for. From the moment we begin working together, you can expect a space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and tailored to who you are. No two people carry the same experiences, backgrounds, or goals, and your care shouldn't look like anyone else's. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness, my approach is integrative, person-centered, and always collaborative. My style is kind yet purposeful: together we'll work toward recognizing your needs and building the practical tools to meet them. Guiding you toward the support and strategies that help you thrive is what drives every session we share. My path to becoming a therapist began in research. Working as a research coordinator, I found myself consistently drawn to the deeper stories behind the data, and to the real concerns people in our studies were carrying with them. It became clear that being a therapist was the right fit, the place where I could do the most meaningful work. That background in research and community mental health shapes how I practice today. It gave me a unique lens for understanding how large-scale societal and structural forces ripple down and affect individuals in very personal ways, and a commitment to integrative, community-rooted care that I bring to every session. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me soaking up a Broadway show, getting lost in a good book, or somewhere out in the world on my next travel adventure. Water has always been a source of joy for me, whether that means snorkeling, diving, or simply swimming. Lately, I've been diving into new creative outlets as well, teaching myself embroidery and showing up to Pilates class regularly. They've become my favorite way to reset between sessions and return to the work feeling fully present for you.

At Rivia Medical, we believe in a holistic approach to mental health, with a focus on both treatment and prevention. We believe in listening to each patient and creating a partnership to work on maintaining and improving lifelong health. This includes creating a personalized treatment plan that incorporates the best evidence-based care, but which also takes into account your personal circumstances, perspectives, goals and expectations. High quality mental healthcare is hard to find and hard to afford. We wanted to create a place where people could find reliable and informed psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and therapists, and have the option to explore treatment options other than medication. We are a team of well-trained psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and social workers. We keep ourselves educated and informed. And we focus on understanding you, the individual, in detail before deciding on the right treatment. What excites us about our practice is the excellent clinicians in our group, and the fascinating patients and clients we get to help. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive evaluations and treatment for those suffering from psychiatric symptoms, or psychological distress.

Finding the right therapist matters — and here's what sets my approach apart. I combine psychodynamic therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and self-compassion into a practical, personalized framework refined over more than 10 years of clinical experience working with high-achievers. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; you are the expert on your own life. I understand firsthand the pressure to perform, the fear of falling short, and the burnout that comes from relentlessly pushing yourself. I'm not just familiar with those experiences clinically; I've lived them. My clients tell me they appreciate that I'm direct, warm, and genuinely collaborative — that sessions feel both supportive and productive. All sessions are available online, so getting consistent support fits into even the most demanding schedule. If you're ready to stop white-knuckling your way through and start building something that actually feels sustainable, I'd love to connect. Schedule a free 20-minute consultation at susanpodbielski.com — no pressure, just a conversation.

College can be a meaningful and exciting chapter, but it can also bring intense pressure, uncertainty, identity questions, family stress, relationship challenges, burnout, anxiety, and executive functioning struggles. My practice offers a warm, collaborative space where students can slow down, feel understood, and develop practical tools for navigating both emotional distress and daily life demands. At Karuna Psychotherapy & Consulting , therapy is trauma-responsive, compassion-focused, and neuroscience-informed, with an emphasis on mind–body integration, relational attunement, and authentic human connection. At Karuna, we support deep healing, wholeness, and personal growth through compassionate, relational, mind–body psychology. I work from a non-shaming, culturally aware , LGBTQ+ affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming perspective. Together, we may explore patterns of stress, self-criticism, avoidance, perfectionism, overwhelm, attachment wounds, or disconnection from the body. My approach integrates evidence-informed psychotherapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, nervous system regulation, parts work, and insight-oriented reflection. My goal is to help students feel safer within themselves, better able to understand their emotions, and more empowered to move toward relationships, values, and choices that support their well-being.

I believe in your ability to grow, change, and heal even in incredibly difficult circumstances. I create a supportive and validating environment, while also challenging my clients to consider different perspectives. I bring a trauma informed, strengths-based, and client-centered approach to my work with clients. I specialize in relationships, whether they are romantic, platonic, familial, professional. I also help clients develop better relationships with themselves. I work with clients to establish boundaries, determine priorities, develop greater self compassion, and align their actions with their values. Some sessions may feel free flowing and philosophical–for example, exploring the ethics of non-monogamy, the impact of diagnosis on identity, or the current political climate. Other sessions may feel more goal oriented and structured. I often suggest readings to clients, which we process and unpack in session together. I offer concrete coping skills to manage life's challenges and help clients create sustainable changes. Beginning therapy can be intimidating, so be proud of yourself for even considering it. Feel free to reach out and schedule a free 15 consultation call if you feel ready to begin this process together.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a degree in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University, in Boulder, Colorado. Mindfulness informs all aspects of my work, including my emphasis on creating a space of compassion and curiosity in which we can explore, experiment, and journey together. You can't do anything "wrong" in therapy; everything that happens can be mined for wisdom. I have primarily worked with people to address issues related to anxiety, depression, self-concept, and life transitions. I see therapy sessions as a balance between processing and skill-building, in which there is enough open space to explore and also enough direction to come away with concrete action steps to create the desired change. In addition to mindfulness, I have training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I frequently guide my clients in getting to know and work with "parts" of themselves. I bring a trauma-informed approach to all sessions, in which safety, empowerment, and self-compassion are held paramount. For trauma-specific work, I utilize my training in EMDR therapy to provide targeted interventions designed to desensitize and reprocess traumatic experiences in the brain. Above all else, I hold a steadfast hope for the ability of each and every person to heal and grow. It is truly an honor and privilege to join my clients in that journey.

Healing looks different for everyone, and finding the right support is the first step. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, my work centers on helping individuals and families navigate stress, anxiety, depressive symptoms, and life transitions, including those living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Whether you're facing emotional distress, struggling to manage overwhelming feelings, or simply searching for steadier ground, we'll work to build the adaptive coping strategies and emotional regulation skills that make a lasting difference in your well-being. My commitment is to meet you exactly where you are, as a supportive, collaborative partner throughout your care. Together, we'll strengthen your insight, develop meaningful coping tools, and navigate life's challenges in a way that feels sustainable and true to you. Person-centered, strengths-based, and empathetic care isn't just a framework for me; it's the foundation of how I show up for every person I work with. Creating a space where you feel genuinely heard and empowered to grow is something I'm deeply passionate about. Sessions are collaborative and nonjudgmental by design. Your unique needs, experiences, and goals shape the direction of our work together, and I tailor my approach accordingly, whether that means focusing on building coping skills, working through emotional regulation, or finding footing during a difficult life transition. The goal is always to support you in ways that feel relevant, respectful, and grounded in your strengths. My path to this work is one shaped by purpose and intention. Before becoming a therapist, I spent seven years working in the marketing industry in New York City. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, something shifted — a strong pull toward work that was more meaningful, more human, and more centered on helping others care for themselves. That calling led me to pursue my Master of Social Work from Fordham University, and into a field where I could show up for people in ways that truly matter. The transition deepened my commitment to compassionate, person-centered care, and I bring that commitment, along with authenticity and genuine investment in your growth, to every session we share. Outside of the therapy room, staying grounded and connected matters deeply to me. I find joy in watching and playing tennis, tending to my plants, and spending time with my cat, Biscuit, who brings a quiet sense of comfort to everyday life. Continuous learning and personal growth are values I carry both in and out of my work, always looking for ways to feel more connected to the world and the people in it. That same spirit of curiosity and intention is something I bring to the care I offer you.
