I love my work and look forward to helping people who are looking to make their lives just a bit sunnier. We all have struggles but they don't have to weigh us down to the point where it is hard to let in joy, happiness and fulfillment. I work with clients to develop acheivable goals using my available tools as a therapist such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and Yoga Therapy where appropriate. I see people of both sexes and all ages but seem to have developed a specialty of working with people in their 20s and 30s.

Life can throw a lot at us. You may need a space where you can lay it all out without worrying about being judged. I provide a space where you can talk/vent about stuff like depression, grief, family stress, identity issues, the everyday frustrations, and even the messy in between. Nothing is too big or small to discuss. I work with people going through life transitions, relationships challenges, the ups and downs that come with being LGBTQ+, bicultural, or even navigating racial identity. I know how important it is to feel seen and understood. I make it a priority to create space to let it all out and do not hold anything back. Therapy with me is about honesty, connection, and real talk. In our sessions we will learn to process deeply, and move forward with clarity and purpose. We will figure things out together, at your pace, you can reset, find renewal, feel empowered and more in control of you.

Hello! I'm Kat, and I'm here to be your go-to cheerleader and confidante. Welcome to a space where you can breathe a little easier and find the support you need to navigate the twists and turns of college life. My journey into counseling? I started with a passion for music, earning a double B.A. in Music Performance and Music Education from Ithaca College. Those years taught me so much about creativity and the power of education to inspire and uplift. But my path took a turn when I felt called to explore counseling as a way to help others in a deeper capacity. I pursued an MA in Counseling from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. It's there that I discovered my passion for holistic well-being and specialized in Brainspotting—an incredible modality to bust through performance/creative blocks and tackle the harder stuff like trauma. In our sessions, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where you can truly be yourself. I firmly believe in your ability to overcome challenges and shape the life you desire. Therapy doesn't have to be all serious and introspective. We'll sprinkle in some humor, passion, and empathy along the way. So, if you're ready to level up and tackle whatever life throws your way, I'm here for it. Shoot me a message and let's kickstart this journey together.

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Megan. I am a therapist-in-training at SolHealth and am excited to begin working together! I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit about what you can expect as we begin sessions together. I am a first-year master’s degree student in the Mental Health Counseling program at City College of New York. I received an interdisciplinary degree in Science, Technology, and Society where I focused on Psychology, Sociology, and Cultural Studies at Farmingdale State College. I have previously interned in schools where I worked with populations experiencing anxiety and difficulties with life transitions. I also worked as an ABA therapist where I specialized in working with clients with developmental disabilities. My primary modalities of therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy. My therapeutic approach incorporates: mindfulness exercises to help with stress management, reducing stress and anxiety, overcoming depression, developing self-compassion, and creating a meaningful life for yourself. I believe in exploring an individual’s past and present while empowering them in a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative space. Megan Pinzel is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Sol Health is a digital health startup that offers $30 therapy to Gen Zs by connecting them with therapists-in-training accruing clinical hours. Life as a student can be stressful, especially when you find yourself impacted by academic or administration complications, or struggles outside of school. As a therapist, I take a holistic approach in order to recognize all the complexities of who you are and your unique situation, and strive to provide a space where you feel supported and understood. Many of my clients identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQ (and found me because they wanted a therapist who shares their identity), although I have worked with students from all walks of life. I have a Masters of Social Work from CUNY Hunter and seven years of clinical experience with techniques such as psychodynamics, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT. These have helped me with students struggling with a variety of concerns - depression, self-esteem, family or relationship problems, and more. Let's talk together about what's been on your mind and explore how to support you on your journey. I look forward to hearing from you!

Entering your next level of education is a wonderful thing yet even good things can be stressful or scary. This is especially true in the current climate of Covid-19. Whether it's about school or something else in your life, there's a strength in knowing that you need help with it, as evidenced by you're being on this site. I'd be happy to talk for 15 minutes by phone or video and then, if you like, we can set an online appointment.

We assess each client's environment, family, biological factors, and experiences from childhood to the present day. We consider a strong therapeutic relationship to be the highest indicator of progress in therapy. Being able to be open with one another enhances the therapy process. Without a strong rapport between therapist and client, safety doesn't exist, and barriers to positive change exist. After gathering history and establishing rapport, we then tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. We provide EMDR (trauma therapy) as well as regular talk psychotherapy.

I combine compassionate care with evidence-based therapies to enable you to set and meet goals, feel better, and live the life you want and deserve. My goal is to provide you with a caring, comfortable, and supportive environment to discuss your concerns and help you develop new skills to improve your quality of life. Some of my clients only require a few sessions while others may benefit from longer-term counseling. I offer video therapy to patients using a secure video chat platform. This allows you to see a therapist from the comfort and convenience of your own home. When I'm not seeing patients, I am a professor at Rutgers. My specialties include: depression, anxiety, insomnia, bereavement, difficulties adjusting to new life circumstances (e.g., break ups, new jobs, graduation, medical diagnoses), stress related to caregiving, and behavioral management of medical issues. I am results-oriented -- together we will track your progress to ensure that therapy is actually having a positive effect on your life. If you're thinking about therapy, reach out to me and we can chat to see if I'd be a good fit for you.

Hi :) Congratulations on taking the first steps in looking into therapy! Everyone goes through hard times and mental health is important. I am a dedicated Graduate Social Work Student at Binghamton University, building on the strong foundation I established during my undergraduate studies in Social Work at SUNY Plattsburgh. My professional journey has equipped me with valuable experience in supporting individuals who identify as neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and those struggling with substance use disorders. I am well-versed in therapeutic techniques such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing, and I adopt a collaborative, team-oriented approach to help clients achieve their personal goals. My passion lies in addressing complex trauma and personality disorders, areas in which I am deeply committed to making a meaningful impact. Looking ahead, I aspire to open a practice dedicated to serving clients with intricate and challenging cases. My mission is to ensure that everyone I work with understands that they are not alone, and that effective help and support are always available. I aim to provide a judgment free space where you can express yourself and process both the good things and the challenges in life. I look forward to working with you! Denver is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Sol Health is a digital health startup that offers 30$ therapy to Gen Zs by connecting them with therapists in-training accruing clinical hours.

Mamaroneck, NY

I am a New York State licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice, with an office in Mamaroneck, NY. During the covid pandemic, I am working with all clients using tele-health. I have had extensive training in Mindfulness, Acceptance & Compassion Based Therapies (aka 3rd Wave Therapy) From my diverse experiences I have learned that: The way you speak to yourself matters. Negative self talk can be detrimental and it can be changed. Shame is a major contributor of emotional suffering and mental illness. This emotion thrives in secrecy. Compassion is a reliable way of improving your relationships, with yourself and others. Life is hard, and many times unfair. Knowing what you need, and developing the skills to support those needs, helps make the best out of life's difficult situations.

I believe psychotherapy is a project between two people where sources of emotional pain and anguish are discovered and revisited, where what has been denied, unimagined, forgotten, or come to be unspeakable can become imagined, felt and spoken. The process generates an understanding of ourselves that is vastly more dynamic than what our relationships, politics and culture allow, leading to the easing of suffering and the creation of new possibilities. The therapy I provide is open, an invitation. There is a freedom to it that takes courage and tolerance. It can involve a deconstructive or constructive momentum where you may not necessarily be told what to say or how to feel. It is an invitation to notice what comes to mind and what does not. What can emerge in a therapy is dynamic. It can surprise, frustrate, thrill and provoke. These experiences are worked through together. As you bring yourself as fully as possible to what confuses or afflicts, I will help guide you with my understanding of the mind toward a life of growth and healing.
