As a clinical psychologist, I assist clients to address issues that are difficult to confront alone. I encourage self-reflection, help clients gain a clearer understanding of their life experiences and bring awareness to patterns of relating that are interfering with living a satisfying life. My orientation is primarily psychodynamic; it promotes self-exploration and gaining insight, along with productive behavior change. I take an active and engaged role with my clients by asking questions and offering ideas. I approach therapy as a collaborative process with the intention of reducing suffering, increasing self-understanding, and cultivating deeper and more compassionate relationships. I specialize in addressing chronic trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, loss, and relationship difficulties.

I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship issues. I work with individuals who are seeking support in processing difficult emotions and experiences, and in building their sense of security. Trained in both clinical psychology and creative arts therapy, I am able to offer a wide range of interventions and individualized care. Art therapy can give voice to the unconscious and promote a deeper level of self-expression and self-discovery. I maintain a mindful, curious, and nonjudgmental stance when using art in sessions. My approach is creative, client-centered, and collaborative. I will meet you wherever you are in life, and we will go from there. I believe that healing and growth is possible for every individual.

Take heart! I want to say it is our actual, living birthright to heal any disempowering history, whether circumstantial, or chronic. Over the years, students have come with trauma, depression, anxiety, identity and spiritual concerns, academic pressures, relationship, family, and work conflicts - each can begin to shift as we change our familiar thoughts, feelings, and relationship to the past. This is the contract we honor in a therapeutic partnership. I have made it my life's work to train with the originators of powerful techniques engaging the mind, heart, and spirit - from the unconscious to the transpersonal - so that you can step out of your own way, & shift into relief, and resolution! This is the work we have been accomplishing together in therapeutic alliance for 25+ years. The best way to reach me is (845)256-0047.
Welcome, I’m Karin, a licensed clinical social worker with several years of experience providing effective and compassionate psychotherapy. Please note prices reflected are for those who choose Out of Pocket Pay (OPP). I accept many insurance plans which can significantly reduce the price of counseling services! I utilize a Relational Cultural and Interpersonal Process Therapy approach in my practice. I believe that while we are often times hurt in relationship, we can also be healed in relationship. I work to foster a sense of safety, and collaboration with my clients in order to meet goals and create change. I believe in validating my clients, and joining them while problem solving. I value authenticity both in and outside of therapy, and hope to create a space where everyone can feel safe to be their full authentic selves and explore different parts of themselves.
Bussey Holistic Therapy is founded on the premise that all human beings have an innate desire for balance, healing, and growth. How each person defines these concepts are individually unique. I view each client as a whole person–mind, body, and spirit. I meet each client where they are in order to help them meet their personal goals. As a therapist, I am here to partner with you on your journey. Although life has the potential to be joyful and fulfilling, at times we all face challenges. This is part of the human condition and none of us is immune. While we may generally have the resilience to cope and to move through difficult experiences, there are those times when we become aware that additional support and resources may be helpful in navigating difficult circumstances, healing from painful experiences from the past; or when we become aware of thoughts, feelings, or behaviors that we would like to address in order to live a richer life. Therapy can be a constructive resource offering a safe space to heal and grow.
Hello! I am Jacqueline Treml and I've been a psychotherapist in the community for over 25 years. Although I specialize in Anxiety, OCD & Phobias, I also practice EMDR for trauma, as well as offering support around the full spectrum of issues including identity, relationships, depression, and issues around grief & loss. I have seen many students over the years who are struggling with perfectionism, self-doubt, intense anxiety and depression, and who are working out difficult relationship dynamics with family, friends, and intimate partners. I hope that by coming to therapy with me, you are offered a warm and comforting environment where we can look together at issues without judgment. I will try to offer you perspective and what wisdom I've gained over the years to help your life at Cornell be what you'd like it to be. I look forward to hearing from you.

This may be felt as a gnawing sense of dissatisfaction or despair, or a more intense experience of feeling lost and out of control. We work together to identify your concerns in a safe environment that emphasizes giving language to emotional experience, identifying unconscious patterns of behavior, and finding meaning in your life.
As a clinician I provide an open non-judgmental environment where students can express themselves candidly. Whether you are experiencing anxiety due to a lack of work/life balance, from dealing with dysfunctional relationships and/or just an overall internal feeling of discomfort I can help you find get back on track and achieve your optimal level of function. Client's often come to therapy with an obstacle that is holding them back such as some type of past trauma, volatile relationship and/or financial struggles that are keeping them from reaching their goals. I am a clinical psychologist and have been in practice for over 20 years. I specialize in working with individuals and couples ages 18 years and older. I address a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship/family dynamics and trauma, as well as stressors particular to the college and graduate school experience. My Interest in psychology is based in my wish to help people decrease their pain and expand their lives in ways that are important to them. I am described by my patients as a warm person who creates a safe environment through being respectful and sensitive to who you are: your personality, family, developmental and cultural history, other identities and the emotions you are experiencing. Psychodynamic and insight-oriented, I utilize a variety of techniques, especially Internal Family Systems (IFS), a therapeutic approach that is extremely effective for many issues and is known to be especially helpful with trauma recovery. IFS helps individuals, as well as couples, tease apart and learn about conflicting feelings or parts of themselves. Doing so improves one’s ability to feel better, function effectively and heal painful experiences from the recent and distant past. In couples work I also utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based model that helps couples identify difficult cycles of interactions and recognize the needs, hurts and fears that underlie them. Partners emerge from this process feeling more connected with one another in meaningful, supportive and secure ways and are better able to communicate. Research has proven this to be a highly effective form of therapy. I have held positions at several university counseling centers including Fordham University where I was Assistant Director of Counseling and Psychological Services, The Graduate Center in New York City and Princeton University. College and graduate students have always been a significant part of my practice.
