Therapists for college students near Pittsburgh, PA
Therapy is an invitation to identify and gently question beliefs and perceived obstacles that stand in the way of our wellness, happiness and living our lives fully. We base our work together on you- what you see happening in your life, what you want to be different, your strengths, your goals and bigger life plans. Together we identify ways to make positive small shifts to clarify and work toward obtaining your best future. We believe in positive psychology interventions that are solution focused and strength based. We believe your mind is the most powerful resource. We can help you to learn how to use it to make powerful, lasting change.
Every now and then we all need a little extra support to deal with life's challenges. Whether it be everyday stress, life transitions, the loss of a loved one, anxiety, depression, past trauma, or any other mental health concern, I will work together with you to explore thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and patterns that may be contributing to your struggles. My name is Greg Emrich, and I am a pre- licensed therapist who earned my Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Arcadia University. I have experience working with individuals of various ages dealing with a wide variety of issues. I have previous experience as a Therapeutic Support Staff and Instructional Assistant where I worked with elementary to high school aged children with autism, ODD, and other behavioral struggles. I also have experience as a University Counselor working with students ages 17-35 dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, and life transitions. Utilizing a holistic, multicultural, and solution focused mindset, I work together with my clients to explore all aspects of their life to define strengths, find solutions, and create effective ways to cope with life’s hardships. Seeking out assistance is a brave first step. I look forward to supporting you along your journey of healing and growth. Greg can be reached at 215-550-1796 x6 or gemrich@southpinecounseling.com
Therapy can be a place to slow down and make sense of what’s been shaping you - especially when familiar ways of coping no longer feel helpful. People often come to therapy during periods of change, relational stress, or when old patterns start to feel heavy or confusing. You don’t need to have clear answers to begin; therapy offers space to reflect, understand yourself more deeply, and decide how you want to move forward. My approach is grounded in understanding how family dynamics, culture, identity, and broader social systems shape how we see ourselves and relate to others. As a queer Palestinian- American woman, I bring lived experience and clinical training into my work and strive to offer care that is thoughtful, affirming, and nonjudgmental. In therapy, we will move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we may look back at the experiences and relationships that have shaped you, while also building clarity, self-trust, and support in the present. Sessions can be challenging at times, and I offer a steady, compassionate presence as you work toward lasting change. I invite you to reach out.

Welcome, I'm glad you're here. Life can be challenging and you shouldn't have to go it alone. For 25 years I have worked with young adults who are struggling or are going through a particularly difficult period of time. Some of those issues may include anxiety, self-harm, depression, trauma, identity issues, family conflict. I'm excited you're here! Therapeutic relationships can be an incredibly powerful resource for accessing your truth, increasing self-love, and healing through connection. My aim as a therapist is to foster a safe, nonjudgmental space that supports clients in divesting from narratives of self-pathology, rewriting their stories in empowering ways, and in feeling more grounded and more joyful in their daily lives. My practice is rooted in a social justice frame and a belief that symptoms are most often related to the trauma of lived experiences of oppression and discrimination, not due to internal failing. I work with clients who need help managing anxiety, exploring identity, managing life transitions, managing symptoms of trauma, and undoing internalized white supremacy. I offer a politicized lens and believe in the connection between relational healing and collective liberation. I intend for therapy to be an affirming, healing and celebratory space. For those pursuing gender affirming surgeries or HRT, I'm happy to provide letters for your insurance/surgeon. I identify as White, queer, trans, nonbinary, fat, and neurodiverse (ADHD). As of August 2025, I have availability for virtual clients. Please feel free to reach out - I’d love to chat about potentially working together!

My name is Eve Buck (she/her/hers), and I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I work with individuals and couples living in New York and Pennsylvania at my virtual practice. I completed my master’s degree in mental health counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. My previous training includes working with undergraduate and graduate students at the Fordham University counseling center, as well as community practices where I have worked with culturally diverse clients from all walks of life. I particularly enjoy working with young adults and senior adults and have specialized training in therapy for people who identify as Latinx. It is through the experiences and lessons I have learned along my work and personal journeys that I hope to support your path toward overcoming your personal struggles and finding greater fulfillment. I pride myself on utilizing a multicultural approach to therapy while bringing in teachings and principles of multiple disciplines, drawing mainly from psychodynamic therapy among other evidence-based practices. It is this multidisciplinary approach that I believe best serves clients, allowing space for present-minded problem solving as well as exploration into a client’s past, relationships, and emotional experience. Our work together can be tailored based on your life story and experiences and what you hope to gain from therapy. Everyone’s therapy journey is different. Whether it’s working through trauma or beginning a path towards better self-understanding, I strive to provide an open, non-judgmental, and productive space where people can find relief from distressing symptoms as well as develop a stronger sense of self through insight and reflection. Just like each person is unique, each treatment is different and adapted to who you are and what you need. I recognize the wide breadth of human experience and I bring this knowledge with me to best meet your needs. Life can be difficult and confusing, but as your therapist I will be there to empathize with and support you through it.

You may be functioning well on the outside while quietly feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted inside. Therapy can be a place to slow down, exhale, and begin to understand what’s really driving those patterns. I offer in-person and virtual sessions in a calm, inviting office where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard. My style is relaxed and relational, and our work is intentional. We’ll start with what feels most present for you, and then gently move toward the deeper roots. Clients often share that they appreciate both the warmth of our conversations and the clarity that comes from having specific tools to navigate their challenges. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, the impacts of trauma, relationship concerns, or an eating disorder, our work together will be thoughtful, focused, and tailored to you. If you're looking for therapy that balances emotional depth with practical tools, I'm happy to connect and see if we're a good fit.
