Monica is a bilingual therapist and the child of immigrants who believes that true healing grows from the threads that connect us — to our bodies, to the people around us, and to the world we inhabit. Growing up between cultures, she learned early how identity, language, and community shape our sense of self. Her journey to counseling has been shaped not only by professional experience in diverse communities and holistic mind-body practices, but also by years of personal self-healing and self-discovery through reading, reflection, and engagement with feminist theory and history. These experiences have deepened her understanding of how gender, power, and society influence our inner lives and relationships. She works with women and femmes who have ADHD and has a nuanced understanding of how gender shapes ADHD lived experiences. Monica provides compassionate support for the unique challenges and strengths ADHD brings, helping clients navigate identity, relationships, and self-trust with insight and validation. In working with Monica, clients will learn about themselves and ways to leverage their neurodiversity to their benefit, allowing it to enhance their lives rather than hinder them. Monica is also passionate about supporting women in reclaiming their sensuality, self-trust, and pleasure, particularly in the wake of trauma. Her work in this area integrates conversation, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and embodiment practices, including yoga. By creating a safe and affirming space where clients can explore intimacy, desire, boundaries, and identity without shame, the therapeutic space allows clients to heal, reconnect, and embody their true sensual power. Through therapy, Monica guides clients to reconnect with themselves fully. In connecting to their bodies, minds, desires, and voices, clients can cultivate lives that feel grounded, empowered, and authentically their own.

Welcome! I’m an individual and family therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, PMDD, relationship issues, and life transitions including adjustment to college. Within my practice, I offer a warm, collaborative space where it’s safe to bring your full self—your strengths, your stuck points, and the parts you’re still figuring out. I believe that when we feel safe enough in a therapeutic relationship to take risks and let down walls, we pave the way for insight and growth that lead to meaningful change.

Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here. I work best with individuals who are navigating the impact of trauma and who are open to exploring how their past continues to live in their body and shape their present. Together, we’ll gently uncover how your experiences have influenced your nervous system, your emotions, and your inner narrative—so that healing can begin not just in the mind, but in the body as well. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that the body holds deep wisdom. Through Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, yoga, breathwork, and sound therapy, I support clients in reconnecting with their inner guidance system—the intuition that emerges when we truly listen inward. This work can bring about clarity, regulation, and a felt sense of peace that goes beyond intellectual insight. At its core, my work is relational and intuitive. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in connection—with self, with body, and with another safe presence. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, helping you explore your story and reconnect with your innate capacity for resilience and wholeness. If you’re feeling the pull toward deeper healing—toward safety, embodiment, and self-trust—I invite you to schedule a consultation. You don’t have to do this alone.
Do you struggle with depressive moods or negative thoughts you wish you could just change or simply make go away? Wanting those dark thoughts to change, or hoping to run away from them, is completely normal. But avoiding those thoughts can leave us even more stressed, irritable, and disconnected from our loved ones. I promote compassion, honesty, and empowerment while working with clients who struggle with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I’m especially passionate about helping students, young adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals struggling with mood, personality, and eating disorders. Above all else, I’m focused on building a strong relationship with my clients, and I feel deeply privileged to be allowed into their lives. I make therapy a judgment-free zone where humor and warmth are a regular part of the process. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and allows each individual to guide their own recovery process. I can help you build upon the strengths you already have and develop even more coping skills for the various obstacles you may face. College life should be an exciting and challenging time. Becoming more independent and living away from home is a significant life transition. Enjoying this newfound autonomy while adjusting to college life can bring about a whole range of challenges, such as alcohol/substance abuse, academic stress, relational stress, neurodivergent issues, identity development, anxiety, social isolation, depression, trauma and many others. As a former Texas University graduate, former counselor of college students, and a parent of a college graduate, I am familiar with many of the issues facing today's students and passionate about helping young adults navigate this important chapter of their lives.

Welcome to the beginning of your therapeutic journey. My name is Alexandra Gomez but you can call me Alex! I am a Latina LPC-Associate who is bilingual in Spanish and English. As humans, we are constantly challenged by the imperfections and expectations of society. It can be confusing, discouraging, and at times can dim the light within us. Investing in ourselves is the best way to overcome these challenges and learn more about our thoughts, behaviors, beliefs, and values. Whether you are beginning or continuing services, I am so glad you have made this decision to invest in yourself and grow in multiple aspects of the human experience. I hope that you find my bio to be a good fit for your therapeutic needs.
Hi, I'm an LPC-Associate at Alive Austin. I work well with college students experiencing stressors and stages commonly faced during this period: life transitions, depression, anxiety, relational concerns, family conflict, or unprocessed childhood trauma. Many of my clients may struggle with boundaries, people pleasing, and navigating their new roles and responsibilities living on their own for the first time. Many people I see have also put off working though painful or significant experiences from their past that are still impacting them presently. I aim to help you build self-awareness, discard what is no longer serving you, and start finding fulfillment in life. I am currently unable to accept insurance as an LPC-Associate in Texas. I try to accommodate to students' needs by offering sliding scales. I also offer free consultations so there is not initial cost until you feel we're a good fit.

Welcome! I am a Judi Yapias board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor, and I specialize in intergenerational trauma and understanding how trauma and stress affect the body. To better understand what your body is signaling, I integrate modalities in my practice such as mindfulness-based therapy, somatic techniques, and trauma-conscious approaches. This is an impactful approach to better understanding big and uncomfortable emotions, what the body is communicating, and those teeny, tiny voices of intuition telling us something is off. My goal is to help you begin the process of understanding and connecting with yourself on a deeper level. We’ll work on building trust between your head and heart and explore all the things about your life - cultural identity, relationships, behaviors, values, feelings, and belief systems. Together, we’ll create a foundation that empowers you to feel more integrated and aligned. Specialties Mental Health Conditions treated Relationship issues Trauma Anxiety ADHD Depression Treatment philosophy Whether you may be experiencing BIG feelings, interpersonal struggles, or wanting to better understand yourself, I am here to support you using a collaborative approach. Through a guided process and integration of mindfulness-based and trauma-conscious approaches, you and I will talk through your lived experiences. Some of these discussions will give you a sense of joy, sadness, frustration, anxiousness, pride, and excitement. As we dig and uncover these stories in a safe space, we often begin a discovery of your strengths and wisdom - from a present you and intergenerational standpoint. This experience is almost like when your body constricts and caves into a discomfort and, once ready to release, it expands and grows. Treatment approach Culturally Sensitive Trauma-Focused Emotionally Focused Mindfulness-Based(MBCT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) Practice description As we get curious about your goals, your story, your values, and your beliefs systems, we process through patterns about how you have survived & protected yourself up until this point and how these patterns affect you and your relationships (familial, platonic, and/or romantic) - looking within ourselves and connecting it to finding our space and belonging in the collective. Throughout this journey, my role is to support you in feeling safe, in a space that prioritizes inclusivity, open-mindedness, and authenticity.
