You may be thinking about improving relationships, coping more effectively with daily stress, or becoming more successful academically or in a career. Unfortunately, sometimes stress, anxiety, & depression make it difficult to make the changes you truly want. I aim to empower my clients so that they discover (or re-discover) the inner-strength needed to believe in themselves, learn new coping strategies, & achieve their goals. I utilize a cognitive-behavioral & client-centered approach to help young adults improve socially, emotionally, & academically. I create a motivational, non-judgmental space where clients can practice mindfulness & relaxation strategies. I teach my clients to replace unhelpful thinking patterns & behaviors with productive ones. As a licensed psychologist & certified school psychologist, I specialize in the assessment & treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, & autism. Hello! My name is Abigayle Bennett, but you can call me Abi. I am in my second year of my Master’s of Social Work at Binghamton University and hold an Associate’s in Human Services and a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Education. I have been working in children’s and family services for the majority of my career, and hope to eventually open a Child and Family Development Center and offer an inclusive space for families to seek tools and resources to improve their family’s mental well-being. I specialize in areas such as anxiety, mood disorders, parenting and family issues, relationships, self-esteem, self-harm, lgbtq+ youth, and domestic/sexual abuse. I strive to create a laid-back, open, and approachable environment in our sessions. I understand that starting therapy can be daunting, but I aim to make our therapeutic relationship as comfortable and supportive as possible. My goal is to be someone you feel at ease talking to so that you can freely share and explore your thoughts and feelings. I know how intimidating it can be to bare your soul to a stranger, so I want to work together to build a strong therapeutic relationship so we can tackle your needs as a team. I firmly believe that mental health has to start from a sort of ground-up perspective. In order to control your feelings, emotions, and reactions, you have to understand them and be able to respond to them using tools that meet you where you’re at. I practice primarily using CBT, DBT, mindfulness, attachment theory, and family systems theory. In our sessions, we will use an eclectic mix of various therapeutic frameworks to best meet your needs. In session, this may look like guided meditations, processing past traumas, exploring family dynamics, and cognitive reprogramming techniques. By utilizing a mix of modalities, we can work together to find ways to best respond to the difficulties and struggles you may be facing, and hopefully overall improve your quality of life.

Hi, My name is Marissa Klejbuk and I am so glad you are here taking your first step in finding support! I have a passion in helping people find new ways of managing and working through stressors, especially big life changes like starting college, moving or starting a new job. I also have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, identity, LGBTQ+, intimate partner violence, and sexual trauma. My approach is affirming, holistic, collaborative, and compassionate. I help people understand how our past experiences helped us get to where we are today, whether we initially view these as positive or negative. Sometimes that place is a point of overwhelm or emotional detachment with intrusive thoughts. Sometimes that place is being unaware of our strength and resilience. I wholeheartedly believe that the power of healing and breaking unhealthy patterns lie within the therapeutic practice that empowers your authentic self. I meet your vulnerability with mine to create a safe space that supports deeper processing. I believe in working holistically to help you connect to your mind, body, and soul. I often bring in creativity, metaphor, humor, cognitive-behavioral approach and body-based interventions including mindfulness and imaginative play. Expanding on your skills helps you feel more empowered to make choices that improve all areas of your life. Contact me today for a free phone consultation to see how I can best help you reach your goals!
The therapy session is a time and space one sets aside to focus on self. To be with self. And to build one’s self. It can be challenging to reflect on patterns, thoughts and emotions, relationships, past events and/or change, but it can also be transformative and rewarding. My role as your therapist is to witness your process and to reflect back with you along the way. The therapeutic relationship is an essential piece of my practice and is built on honesty, trust, empathy, and compassion. In conjunction with traditional psychotherapeutic frameworks (CBT, DBT, Gestalt, Psychodynamic), I use Expressive Arts Therapy (Movement, Drama, Music/Sound, Art) to help foster a creative process. When applied therapeutically, a creative process can help a person heal, open up to change, and may offer new feelings, thoughts, insights, and perspectives As a Dance/Movement Therapist, I specialize in using movement as a tool to identify, explore, and shift the way one relates to self, other, and the world around. I believe engaging in an integrative, body based psychotherapy process is a direct and effective path to embodied growth and transformation.
