If you’re looking for a therapist who shows up like a regular person, and not a blank slate, look no further. In this room, you won’t get a lot of blank “I see” or “Ahh.” Instead, you’ll have a therapist who is warm, empathetic, and (most importantly) FUNNY. I aim to make the therapy room a space where you can show up exactly as you are. That is, authentically you, whatever that looks like on any given day. We can make space to laugh, to cry, to feel what it is you need to feel in order to help you grow into the you that you want to be. I want this relationship to feel collaborative and within your boundaries. If something we’re doing isn’t working for you, tell me and let’s work together to find something that works for you!
Seeing clients virtually only at the moment. Please see my website for a complete description of my practice and approach.
Leveraging my dual expertise as a Mental Health Counselor & Registered Nurse, I have a holistic approach to therapy + mind-body health. We might be a good match if you're a young adult experiencing relationship or confidence issues that leave you feeling like you're not enough. Maybe you've been told to "stop overthinking", or you're constantly doubting yourself and comparing your accomplishments to everyone around you. Our work together will help you heal from the past, feel more confident, set boundaries, build meaningful relationships & friendships, and become more of the person you truly want to be. I specialize in performance goals (academic or sport), self-esteem & confidence, and ADHD. I offer online therapy for New York state residents. As a modern therapist and registered nurse, my approach is holistic, warm, motivating & collaborative. I go beyond surface-level advice like, "just be yourself" or "don't worry". Together, we'll work to uncover what’s beneath the patterns that are holding you back so that you can move forward in life and achieve your goals. I focus on creating a space where you feel understood, encouraged, and motivated. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling like you're growing, evolving, and becoming your best self.

I use experiential exercises, such as clinical hypnosis and role play to assist clients develop new perspectives and integrate what they learn, along with CBT and DBT tools. A mind/body approach, including EMDR, is useful for processing trauma and other developmental wounds. I am a New York State licensed Psychotherapist experienced in working with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, loss and grief, LGBTQIA+ issues, family and relationship struggles, identity, complex life transitions, and trauma ranging from the personal to systemic. I am a graduate of Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work and completed training in working with Couples and Families through the Ackerman Institute for the Family and advanced post graduate training in Relational Therapy at the Stephen A. Mitchell Center for Relational Studies. I bring warmth, deep listening, honesty, cultural sensitivity and humility, and a spirit of collaboration, authenticity, and humor to my therapeutic work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have worked extensively with adolescents and emergent adults and understand that these junctures typically involve a great deal of growth and change. This can in turn be exciting and wonderful, and also sometimes disorienting and overwhelming. I approach therapy as a collaborative exploration of an individual's lived experiences, the meanings they make out of these experiences, and the relationships they cultivate with self and others in the context of these experiences and meaning-making. In therapy together we slow these conscious and lesser conscious processes down to better understand what might be happening, where people may be stuck in self-limiting narratives or patterns, where resilience, joy, and strength can be recognized, and where growth and change are possible.
I have been a therapist for more than 30 years. I am compassionate, empathetic and supportive. I don't adhere to one particular therapeutic type, since one size doesn't fit all. I tend to be down-to-earth, and can offer practical advice, and when called for, a sense of humor.
I offer an affirming, safe space for people who identify as POC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent to explore their identities and deconstruct their own narrative within the larger lens of society. I treat both individuals, and couples, ranging from ages 18-40+. I bring warmth, creativity, and a sense of humor into the room, because therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. If you’re ready to feel a little lighter—and a lot less alone—let’s get started.
I work with neurodivergent adults experiencing burnout from overfunctioning and masking. Many of my clients manage competing responsibilities while coping with anxiety, depression, relational conflict, and the lasting impact of trauma. Many are BIPOC adults from immigrant communities exploring intersecting identities and cultural expectations. I offer therapy in English and Spanish and strive to create a supportive, culturally responsive space where clients feel understood. Together, we focus on developing practical strategies to support meaningful change that can be sustained long after therapy ends.

If you are struggling with the many stressors and difficult events that life often throws at us, or concerned that your feelings of anxiety are negatively impacting your life, now is the time to reach out. I aim to create a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings and, working together, achieve your goals to live the life you want to live!
