With over 18 years of experience in the field of social work, I am dedicated to supporting individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, autism, trauma, and PTSD. I believe that therapy should be a safe and collaborative space where you feel empowered to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. My approach is always client-centered, meaning I tailor each session to your needs, goals, and personal comfort. I am licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. I use a combination of CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic theory to provide personalized therapy that fosters self-awareness, emotional resilience, and long-term growth. As an LGBTQ+ allied therapist, I create an inclusive, affirming space. Being bilingual and fluent in Spanish, I ensure therapy is accessible to the Latino community. My mission is to help you achieve a higher quality of life by providing tools to manage challenges, build resilience, and cultivate self-compassion. With empathy and respect, I support your unique journey. Healing is personal, and I’m here to help you take the next step toward meaningful change.

My therapeutic approach is catered for each client. For those with anxiety disorders, I use evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP) to help my clients learn about the intersections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Much of therapy includes learning and trying out new ways of thinking, utilizing coping skills that emphasize regulating your nervous system, and safely exposing yourself to anxiety-provoking things in order to overcome your fears. For clients who have experienced trauma and interpersonal/relational challenges, I use trauma-focused CBT and psychodynamic therapy with an attachment lens. I aim to support my clients in processing their experiences, reclaiming their narratives, and connecting to their values. I want to help my clients gain insight on root causes of distress, while also helping them explore how to engage in interpersonal relationships in healthier ways. My style is warm and collaborative. In session, I try to balance insight-oriented and skills-based approaches. I am active in teaching and helping clients develop new, healthy coping skills, in order to deal with stress better. I integrate feminist and multicultural approaches, and strive to help explore the impacts of oppression, privilege, and societal expectations, on mental health.

I have been in practice for over 30 years. My practice specializes in anxiety, panic attacks, agoraphobia, phobias, and "life issues." I see college students dealing with stress and anxiety relating to college, career decisions, relationship issues. Also see people who are struggling with bereavement, adoption issues. I work with people of different ages/stages: Young adults, mid-life and senior citizens. When dealing with life issues and anxiety I use Cognitive/Behavioral therapy techniques as well as psychodynamic techniques. When dealing with phobias, I believe in helping patients learn techniques to help relieve some of their anxiety symptoms and then working on their thoughts/cognitions which effect how they talk to themselves. My philosophy is : Life is to be enjoyed, not endured. Isn't it time you started enjoying yours.

I believe that what brings many people to therapy is a sense of disconnection (from themselves, others, or the world around them). Alongside disconnection, clients may experience depression, anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, job/career concerns, loneliness, anger, body pains, among other symptoms. I’m passionate about working with clients to help them identify, understand, and reconnect with the parts of themselves and their experiences that they disconnected from throughout the years. It is through this work that clients are able to show up more authentically and experience greater meaning and fulfillment in their lives. I work primarily from relational and attachment based frameworks while incorporating complementary modalities, prioritizing client needs/goals. My specialty is working with individuals with relationship concerns, identity exploration, and life transitions. Additionally, I have expertise working with college/graduate students and emerging adults. I wholeheartedly believe that much of the healing and growth process occurs within the context of relationships (whether that be in the relationships with others or with yourself). Therefore, I emphasize the importance of finding a good fit with a therapist and encourage reaching out if you feel we may be a good fit. I look forward to connecting!

I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with fear of abandonment, feelings of instability in relationships, and those experiencing intense emotional turbulence. Whether you feel overwhelmed by the intensity of your emotions or find yourself caught in unhealthy relationship patterns, my approach is grounded in empathy, support, and understanding. I help clients navigate these challenges by creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore the roots of your concerns and develop healthier coping strategies. With a background shaped by working around the world, I bring a unique global perspective to my work. Many of my clients come to me feeling alone, misunderstood, or as though their emotional experiences are difficult to express or process. If this resonates with you, know that you're not alone. Together, we can explore these feelings, understand their deeper causes, and work toward emotional clarity and healing.
